I'm using the Wireframe theme and wondering if there is a way to hide the Browse Users function on the dropdown menu. See attached pic. I don't want users to see any kind of listing of all users on the site. Searching for users is okay. But no listings of all users.

Thanks!
Also, I noticed that when I'm looking at a Profile, there is a Registered Users link under the user's name. See attachment "Registered Users Link". Is there a way to disable this link? When it is clicked, the user is taken to the second attachment, which looks like some kind of Registered Users module. It displays the number of users and Random Members. Is there a way to disable this module so it cannot be accessed? I do not want users to be able to access the full list of registered users or see the number of registered users on the site or how many users were registered that past week.

Thanks!

For the dropdown menu, please replace the attached file in: ../components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/toolbar/default.profile.php
As for the Profile view, you can go to Backend>Easysocial>Themes>Wireframe>Profile and turn off this option: http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-02-27_1059.png . Hope this helps.

Nik,

Thanks for your prompt reply! The switch on the backend works perfectly, but the file you uploaded did not seem to affect anything. However, I located the file on my server and found 5 lines of code that refer to BROWSE USERS and deleted the lines 127-131. See attachment. Was that the correct thing to do?

Thanks!

Hello Jv,

Yep, that's the correct code to remove I will try to add this as a settings on the next release of EasySocial.

An amazing extension, Mark. As is the support. Thanks!

By the way, when I make a modification to a file like this, will it be overwritten when you release a new version?

Hello JV,

Yes, it will be overwritten unless you perform template overriding

I found another screen that allows users to access the number of users in a profile. When editing their profile, the user will see a link on the left nav panel, as show in the attachment "Profile Edit Capture". When they click on that link for "Registered Users", they are taken to the same page noted above in my second post, the "Registered Users Module" I have attached that screenshot again.

How can this area of the Edit Profile page be hidden?

Hi JV,

There is a setting at the backend > EasySocial > Settings > User > Display Profile Type = no.

Hope this helps.

Yes, I believe you are correct, Mohd. It appears I was dealing with a caching issue after the update to v1.3.22, which caused a reset of some of the admin parameters. (I created a new post about this issue.)

Thanks!
