Hidden "on hold" category

Hi there,

I need the default category to be some kind of temporary category that is not displayed.
If the bloggers forget to choose the correct category it goes in this hidden default category and posts are not displayed until a correct category is selected.
Either the admin moves the post to the correct category either the blogger does it himself.

This default category should be some kind of on hold...
Is is possible to have an unpublished default category?
What is your advise?

I am sorry but unfortunately this isn't possible right now and rather than doing that, why don't you just revoke the "Publishing" rights for users from that particular joomla user group?

This way, they won't have permissions to publish until you approve the post

The permissions are correct.
I only want to force them to choose a category if not the post is not displayed...

Wouldn't it possible from your side to have no category selected by default?
This will force to select a category...
