This should have already been implement in my opinion.

Groups need privacy settings for the group owner. An example would be for them to decide who can/can not post to the stream. Facebook follows a similar format. The admin decides who does/does not post to the stream. Same implementation you have done with user profiles as well.

Thanks,
James
Hello James,

Thanks for your input on this, appreciate it very much. Will see if we can add a new custom field for the group in the next release so that the group owner would be able to set if only admins or admin and members are allowed to post into the group's stream

sounds like a step into the right direction. to make this even more useful I'd suggest to also add a "pending" option into this field.
with this in place people would still be encouraged to participate in the group while at the same time the group admin can keep it's group spam-free. in detail this could work similar to facebook like this:

user A posts to the stream of the group. at this point user A and the admin are the only one seeing this item (if user A would not see his item he would think the post was not successful and post again which makes no sense).

then it comes to the admin, if he thinks the post is fine he can approve it, if it's spam or doesn't fit the group he can either delete or simply ignore it as it's not visible to the public.

@Alex, I completely agree. The option for the group admin to approve/deny post and have the option to review them first.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the heads up on this but we don't have a "pending" workflow for the stream right now and cramping this into the next minor release is going to slowdown the next minor release. I will see what can be done in the major releases.

Of course, just pointing out some things that would ultimately make EasySocial better.

Thanks
