I see the google map is not working on EasySocial or EasyDiscuss. My subscription is for the domain riskoracle.com. But currently my site is in under development and hosted at http://riskoracle.vnsinfo.com.
Is this the root of the problem?
Hi there,

It seems that in EasySocial, this is know issues. Can you provide us with your backend and FTP access as we need to do some modifications for your.

As for EasyDiscuss, you have to create a new key in order to be able to use google maps. This is because google maps have made some modification and google maps API key is needed to make sure it works.
Please follow steps below:-
1. Go to the site below
https://console.developers.google.com/
2. Go to "Project" then "create project"
3. Make sure the "bell" as shown http://prntscr.com/c9q4is change to "number 1" as shown http://prntscr.com/c9q4sq then click "create project:YourProjectName"
4. Then choose "Google Static Maps API", click "enable" then click "Go to credentials" as shown http://prntscr.com/c9q6vg
5. Choose "Web server(e.g. node.js, Tomcat)" as shown http://prntscr.com/c9q7ez
6. After click "What credentials i need" it will prompt you to second steps as shown http://prntscr.com/c9q7xh
7. Then click "create api key", then it will prompt you to step 3, with your API key.

*Then you have test at this url
http://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/staticmap?key=*YourAPIkey*&size=400x200&sensor=true&zoom=15¢er=3.1208901,101.6773664&markers=3.1208901,101.6773664&language=en
note: if you can see the image, it means that your key already enabled.

8. Then you have to paste you API key at Backend>Components>EasyDiscuss>Settings>Location Services>General as shown http://prntscr.com/c9qatc.

Please give it a try and see how it goes.

I've tested with the url you mentioned before and the map image appeared. No issue. The Map under EasyDiscuss works. For EasySocial, see the site access details and ftp account (I have modified and paste the access details on main thread). Thanks!

Hi there,

It seems that your API still unable to detect by Google Map. We faced this kind of error
This API project is not authorized to use this API. Please ensure this API is activated in the Google Developers Console: https://console.developers.google.com/apis/api/geocoding_backend?project=_

Can you try to run the url above and see if it working or not. Keep us updated then

I see the image appeared by http://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/staticmap?key=AIzaSyAX2nKEU6pQDCykr_yVtwrPQ0uxO3XPcFE&size=400x200&sensor=true&zoom=15¢er=3.1208901,101.6773664&markers=3.1208901,101.6773664&language=en

Thus I assume that the key is a valid. Can you please check the same again?

Hi there,

Yes is it. We honestly doesn't know why it act like that. We also just have figured this out. Maybe google also need us to enable "Google Maps Geocoding API ". Just run this url https://console.developers.google.com/apis/api/geocoding_backend?project=_ and click enable as shown http://prntscr.com/c9revo. Then, see if it works or not.

I have created the Google API Key through Google Maps JavaScript API. The maps under EasySocial and EasyBlog works fine with this Key. However, by placing the same API Key, the EasySocial maps under Profile section (edit profile) is not working. Please find the image attached. ftp and site access details were given previously.

One thing, from FireBug in Mozilla browser, I see some warning in yellow:
Google Maps API warning: NoApiKeys https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#no-api-keys
util.js (line 207)

Google Maps API warning: SensorNotRequired https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#sensor-not-required

It might help you.
