Hi

I've followed your guidance on configuration and read relevant posts but I still can't seem to be able to create a new blog post through the front end editor. I've set up a specific Joomla user group for Easy blog trusted authors and have assigned 'write' rights to them as well as to 'publishers'. I am finding that when logged in at the front end I do have four options when I click on the pencil icon; 'feature this, edit entry, delete entry, unpublish entry' however I do not get the option to 'create post'.

Can you help?

Jamie
Hello Jamie O'Reilly,

Sorry for late reply to this,
If I'm not wrong you should click this write button from your toolbar. If the button is not there, can you provide us with your Joomla backend access as well? Please advise.

hello Jamie,

Sorry for late reply to this,
I have tried to access in your Joomla backend, but it seems like you provided that login credential is not working.
Warning
Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet.

Please advise.
To confirmation, is it you would like this user group "Publisher" and "Author" user only have the permission to publish a blog post in your site right?

Hi Arlex

Really sorry - just checked and saw that the profile I'd created for you hadn't been enabled. Please try again.

Yes, I would like those who are assigned to the publisher group to have the permission to create blog posts in the site as well as edit, delete etc

Thanks

Jamie

Hi Arlex

Really sorry about that. I've just changed your details to those attached, I've tested them and logged in myself as this user. Hope that's OK.

Sorry for mentioning this on the same post but I thought it would be helpful whilst you're already looking at the site. If you log in with the same details at the front end and click on resources>area organisers you'll see the easy blog latest blogs module. You'll notice that the teaser photo is landscape in shape which doesn't work for these profile pictures and also when you open an item then the blog photo is positioned centre top . Can I make the teaser picture profile in shape and then the main blog article photo align to the left?

Thanks

Jamie

Hello Jamie O'Reilly,

Sorry for late reply to this, I can access in your Joomla backend now
I have checked in your setting, everything user group ACL is configured correctly, just your Easyblog frontpage do not have the toolbar.
I guess you wouldn't like to display that Easyblog toolbar in your frontpage right?
If yes, I have 2 solution for this :
#1. You can set which user group able to access this toolbar from your backend > EasyBlog > ACL > Author/publisher > access toolbar -> YES
So another user group you set to NO.

#2. You can create a menu item for write layout(dashboard), so the user can click this menu item for create a new blog post. (check my screenshot : write layout dashboard)

Regarding with your second question:
>> Do you mean that when the user click on the blog post from the module, you would like that center image change to align left right? Check my screenshot below.

Hi Arlex

Thanks for your help. I found that option 2 works well for us.

In terms of the second question, yes, exactly as you describe it. I would like to have the photo float left with the text wrapping around it - perhaps with a 10 px horizontal and vertical space if that's possible...?

Thanks

Hello Jamie,

Sorry for late reply to this,
I have applied this css code in your file JoomlaFolder/template/yourTemplate/css/nwr.css

#ezblog-body .blog-image-container {
float: left !important;
padding: 6px !important;
}

May i know is it meet your requirement?
