Hi,

How can I stop a user from accessing, for example, the privacy setting from front end.
There seems to have no option right now then hack the code and remove from the dropdown login menu the privacy setting, however, this is still available through /index.php/community/profile/editPrivacy which is realy not secure.

Is there in 1.3 a front-end ACL so that every menu option can be set so that everything is secure... or any kind of security feature to block certain section that we don't want to be access ??????

Thanks
Thanks for the heads up on this Alex

Hello Alexandre,

It looks like your account isn't tied up with any subscriptions of EasySocial on our site. Is there any mistake on our end? Would it be possible for you to contact us at https://crm.stackideas.com and provide us with the order reference and your username so that we can fix this up for you?

Please be advise.
Thanks.

Hello Alexandre,

I am sorry for the late reply thanks for your update on the license.
If I understand you correctly, you want to have settings for hide all of this item in EasySocial backend isn't? http://screencast.com/t/wMIltYU3i . Currently in ESv1.2 and the coming ESv1.3, we didn't have settings for this. But you can voice this for future request.

So, the solution for now is you can hide this item by tweaking the code. Are you able to tweak the code by yourself? If not can you provide us with backend access and ftp access so that we can helps you fix this issue on your site. Also, can you tell us which item you want to hide so that we can assist you on this issue? I am sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Please be advise.
Thanks.

Hello Alexandre,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply, there shouldn't be a delay in our reply to this very simple question and I do apologize for that on behalf of the team. We can try to schedule this to something earlier but to be honest with you, our hands are really tied up with EasySocial 1.3 and EasyBlog 4.0 and I can't give you an exact answer right now.

Hi Mark,

I'm doing it on a item per item code hack right now. I'll just be asking for a lot of menu questions as to be sure to get everything meanwhile.
I understand the roadmap and rush for dev of ES and EB. ACL or anything that can provide some customization of the access is more then welcome since anyone can do/see the same right now.

I'll check and update later after 1.3

Thanks

Alex
