The french translation for easysocial is really awkward.

I mean, my native language is french, but some of these translations do not make sense at all. Looks like someone just translated everything on google translate.

I will try to translate it on my side and share.
Hello checksum,

I really wish I could help here but I can't speak French unfortunately

Hello,
As checksum i have founded many wrong translation especially with due to plural

here is one important :
COM_EASYSOCIAL_TOOLBAR_SIGN_OUT="Se désinscrire" in fr-FR.com_easysocial.ini
MOD_EASYSOCIAL_MENU_SIGN_OUT="Se déconnecter" in fr-FR.mod_easysocial_menu.ini

That mean something like "un-registring" or "erase account" instead of "logout" so the users don't want to click on it... and stay connected or ask how to...

I would suggest :
"Se déconnecter" (that mean : logout)

(i have already apply on transifex without been approved...)

Hello,

Hm, it doesn't actually need any approvals when you submit it via Transifex.

Hello,

In the past few weeks, i tried to correct some of these strings. In the same time i translated all new strings.

There is still 500 new strings to translate and more to check. Today, I'm the only one to translate ES in French regardless time spent.

Moreover, Transifex does not show the string name nor any context. That is why some translations are weird and need a proofreading.

However i've a job and i can't spend much more time..
So all help is welcome!

Thanks

Hello Yann,
thanks a lot for your efforts

please find attached the french file for BLOG APP : fr-FR.plg_app_user_blog.ini
I can't find the way to send it in transifex

and would suggest to find a better translation than "billet de blog" for "blog post"
i know it is the official translation (from easyblog component) but it's a bit "heavy" in stream
i prefer to use "publication"

what about you ??

Hello loic

I can't find your attached file, can u try again please ?

About "blog post" , thanks for your suggestion. For some weeks i've been using the term "publication", but old strings are not yet corrected..

I've just completed a first translation and up to 100%. Now a proofreading is really really needed.

If u see some weird translation, please feel free to send me a screenshot or a corrected french file. Thanks

Loic : The files are up to date in Transifex, i don't understand what you mean by "new empty languages" ?!

But i agree, there is many files and it's difficult to find and correct a specific string ..

To be clearer, i continue in french, sorry ..

Hi Yann,

Here are some issues I found in the translation so far:

This should read "le" for the translation <<SUBMITTED ON>> (see attachement)

Also, the group discussion title is missing the title of the discussion on the stream, it should read:
adama a créé une nouvelle discussion dans <GROUPE TITLE>
Not sure if this is a language issue or a ES.

When uploading a picture in your album, the progress bar reads: 23kb gauche, I guess you translated LEFT by GAUCHE, it should read RESTANT or something in that regard.

Thanks for sharing checksum By the way, you could also help with the translations if you want? I can approve your Transifex request.

The hardest part is in which file to find the word you want to translate.
ie: 1- In which file would I find the translation for the word ... left in the progress bar while uploading a picture in your album
2- When you create a new discussion in GROUP, the stream shows PUBLISH ON, which file would I find this word

Hi Mark,

I am already a member of the FRENCH group, and it shows that I am a translator, but it won't let me translate when I try.

Hi checksum,

Thank you for your response. That's weird, I've triple-checked and you are one of the translator for the language. Have you tried logging in to Transifex and navigate to this page? Let me know if you're still unable to translate from that page and I'll investigate this further.

I apologize for the hassle.

I am not sure where to translate...

Ok, never mind, I got it.
I should just click on the string instead of checking it.

I'm really sorry but i was overworked these last weeks.

I've just updated French translation up to 100%. I've also corrected "Posted on" for group discussion.
