Sorry guys, this is happening again: forum notifications are pointing to 404 pages.
Pls. see what I mean here

I believe now all menu items are published but can't figure out why this is happening again.

Thank you so much for your support!
Hello Nuno,

I've made some adjustment with your menu item and it should be working fine now. Can you try again and verify it for me?

hi Nuno,

Sorry for late reply to this,

Yes, I can access in your Joomla backend now.

But I can't replicate this 404 error, when I got the system notification from my toolbar and click on it, it direct to correct page.

Perhaps you can provide us that user account which hitting this error so that we can check on this quickly?

Here's an example of a mail notification pointing to a 404.

The button links to http://cursos.portal-gestao.com/perguntar/taxa-do-iva-1
But the right link is http://cursos.portal-gestao.com/perguntas-e-respostas-curso-contabilidade/taxa-do-iva-1

Hello,

This issue is back, I'm really sorry, I think I deleted a menu item which is responsible to point the notification messages to the right pages.
You may see the examples in the attached file. The notification is pointing to http://cursos.portal-gestao.com/component/easydiscuss/pergunta-teste?Itemid=1004
Also, lots of crawl errors showed up.
Just let me know how I can fix this or please go to the backend and re-create the menu again.
Thank you.

Hello Nuno,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

I've applied the fix on your menu item by creating one hidden menu item from menu manager and then create one easydiscuss frontpage menu item layout. After that I go to your backend > easydiscuss > settings > general > seo > use menu item id set to your easydiscuss frontpage menu item id. Hope these help.

Hello,

Thanks for your support, but the problem is still there.
Check, for example, the page below. The link sent in the notification email is pointing to a 404 page.

Can you please provide us with the back end and FTP access to the site to check on this issue? I tried all the logins provided above and I cannot login to the respective site.

Hey Nuno,

Are you logged in when you are trying to view the post at http://cursos.portal-gestao.com/discusion/pergunta-teste ? It seems like this post was posted to the category "Curso Fiscalidade Angolana". In this category, the acl is configured to only allow 2 user groups to view the post, http://screencast.com/t/6pwUmLWQ1CZ

Once logged in with the super admin account, I can view the post without any issues.

Hello,

The ACL is correct.
I can open the page after loggin in. The problem is, when the user receives the notification email he's being pointed to a 404.
Before, he was pointed to the login page.

When you mean before, do you mean before the update or before Arlex made his changes? Not really sure what do you mean here. Anyway, I have added a hack for you in the code /components/com_easydiscuss/views/post/view.html.php and at line 80 I have replaced the codes from

return JError::raiseError(404, JText::_('COM_EASYDISCUSS_SYSTEM_POST_NOT_FOUND'));

To,

$app->redirect( DiscussRouter::_('index.php?option=com_easydiscuss&view=index', false)) ;
$app->close();

I meant before I deleted the hidden-menu.
If the user has access to the page after logging in he should be directed to the login page (if he's not already logged in) and not a 404 page.
Thank you for your support, I will have a look and check if it is working.
