Few questions for EasyBlog

Questions for every product I have many. Now a few questions for EasyBlog.

1)
First, EasyBlog I bought instead of k2. This is probably the biggest problem. This extension I had for many years. K2 was great extension, but no one knows what will be next. K2 use in new projects is a risk. But loading pages with K2 seemed faster than with EasyBlog.

I think the answers might interest more people. Many people of the communities k2 is looking for a replacement. It would be great to write an article on how to simplify EasyBlog on level of K2.

question 1:
How do I set EasyBlog for fastest load the page? What is possible enable and disable? I want in the backend to disable everything that is possible.
I need layout EasyBlog similar to K2. I need only the date, author, print, email, title, category, rating, introtext, text, image, tags, last modified, number read, social sharing, author info, related items, Komento. That is all.
I do not know, it is possible to disable some javascript, jquery etc.?

EasyBlog is something other than K2. EasyBlog has many great features, but many of them I do not need. Very nice looks like Composer in the Frontend. Great layout. But again the same as in the previous questions. There's too much functionality. Great features, but I do not need them. Many features for authors = different-sized font, different font, different large pictures, etc. I need on the website a uniform style, not a circus.

question 2a:
How do I hide these functions ( Add Media, Add Post, Embed Video, Edit autor and Associations ) in Composer?
question 2b:
Why menu "General" in Composer can enable or disable the author of the article? Why it can not disable or enable only administrator?
question 2c:
It is possible setting category by administrator? One author could write an article only to one category and another author to another category?

question 3)
Why layout Wireframe Theme doesn't look as well as the here?
How to set same design and layout as in the picture?

question 4)
Some changes in the "Layout" (in administrator) do not work at all. For example, in the "Listing", I can't hide "Recent comment in this post". Sometimes I can't hide carousel Featured items, etc..

question 5)
How do I disable the the option of editing the articles (menu My posts in Frontend) ? I can't always control the changes in articles.

I have many next questions, but maybe later. Stackideas products are great, but maybe it would be better less features, but lighter code and simpler control and settings.
We say here: sometimes less is more. With your products I've spent dozens of hours, but ... I'm very sorry, Mark, sometimes it's a nightmare :-D The enthusiasm alternates disappointment and so over and over again...

EasyBlog and EasySocial and EasyDiscuss sometimes is not very Easy. For Easy novice like me.

I very much appreciate your work for Joomla community. It is also the reason why I haven't given up yet.

K2 is built as a CCK and EasyBlog is not a CCK out of the box. Everything that you want to enable / disable is depending on the settings and they can be found under Settings > Layout . The important tabs are:

1. Post Options (This controls the behavior of the entry view). Anything that you want to turn on / off in the entry view is available here.

2. Listing Options (This controls the behavior of the listing view). Anything that you want to turn on / off in the listing view is available here.

Once you get a hang of the inheritance, you'll love the greater controls that you have over it. The inheritance ordering basically falls to:

1. Menu parameters (If set to inherit, it goes to the next item)
2. Category parameters (If set to inherit, it goes to the global settings in Settings > Layout)

We build software for the masses and not for a single client. You need to understand that every single feature that you see in EasyBlog is requested by our customers.

There are no settings for this currently. This is conflicting with the exact things that you said. Simply because you find no need of these features, you want to switch this off. But other user's are actually needing this. What options do we have other than add additional settings


question 2b:

I don't quite get you here.

Categories are defined by the permissions. Edit the category and under the permissions tab, you can configure which user groups are allowed to post into the category.

1. If you are not on the latest 5.0.32, there is a bug. You need to update to the latest version.

2. If you are upgrading from older version, there is a bug in the category settings. Edit the categories and re-save the category to ensure that the layout settings are all set to inherit from the global settings.

How do I disable the the option of editing the articles (menu My posts in Frontend) ? I can't always control the changes in articles.

These are all controlled in the ACL. Edit the ACL options in EasyBlog
