Hi folks,
Metaman works well at all and i learned about Facebook's preferences about picture size etc. that causes troubles in the past. But now there is a trouble with one specific product-page:
https://www.picton.place/shopping/marktplatz/product/trd-mega-download-pack
It is not possible to put the description and the right pic in Facebook's "brain". I debugged it, cleared FB-catch, ... again and again.
The funny thing is: In the English version of the page:
https://www.picton.place/en/shopping/market-place/product/trd-mega-download-pack
works perfect.
Maybe you find out why.

Greetings
Peter
Hi there,

I checked them and it seems to get correct details as you can see here http://take.ms/a3x4M http://take.ms/w4hre. Maybe you can provide us with more details for better understanding.

Please advice.

Good morning,

In the 1st attachment you see the pic and page description i entered into metaman that are not overtaken by Facebook.
The 2nd attachment shows a warning message in FB Open Graph Object Debugger.

greetings

Hi there,

I am a bit confuse here actually.

Based on your inquiries, you stated that this https://www.picton.place/shopping/marktplatz/product/trd-mega-download-pack url dont fetched it correct values, but when i checked them, it does works fine based on those data you set on your metaman as you can see here http://take.ms/W2t9z

Based on your latest reply, it seems that you have changed them accordingly. Currently, it does not reflected correctly on metaman itself and those og tag on your site.

Maybe i have checked them wrongly here Please advice.

Metaman don't show the correct data. When i change the entries and save, it has no effect. You can please try to change the entries by yourself and see, what happens.

Hey Peter,

I have checked your site and it looks like there is another plugin that is rendering the og:image tag which is messing with the og:image in Metaman. If you view the source of the page, and try to search for the phrase og:image , you will notice that there are 2 instances.

Can I know which extension is rendering the page at https://www.picton.place/shopping/marktplatz/product/trd-mega-download-pack and if so, does the extension also renders it's own opengraph data? Is there a way to disable the opengraph data?

Hey Mark,
there is indeed another plugin running: Hikashare for Hikashop. This plugin is on every product page, but https://www.picton.place/shopping/marktplatz/product/trd-mega-download-pack is the only one, hat is not editable with Metaman. That is the thing that makes me confuse.

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Firstly, I think you have to consult with Hikashop developer regarding this and see why this page https://www.picton.place/en/shopping/market-place/product/trd-mega-download-pack doesn't render their opengraph meta data for this product page.

If you view page source for this page, you will see only Metaman script render that opengraph meta data, this is why this page did respected Metaman custom meta data value.

Then i realised when i view page source for this page https://www.picton.place/shopping/marktplatz/product/trd-mega-download-pack , that og:description meta tag did contain those double quote which caused Facebook unable to retrieve the correct description (http://take.ms/s6HRU), I did applied some temporary fix into this file JoomlaFolder/plugins/content/hikashare/hikashare.php.

Perhaps you can share with us what description you would like to put on this page and upload that product image into your next reply, so we can investigate again with this issue.

By the way, what i suspect is if the Facebook detected the page contain multiple same opengraph tag, they do not know which opengraph tag should use it.

Thx Arlex,

looks good. I reduced the product pictures to only one. And that works also good for me. Because of the fact, that it is really this only one site i would say: "let's do more important things.." (i start one week holiday right now)
I will report, if troubles appear, when i create a new product in my store.

greetings
Peter
