Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 130968 bytes) in /home/klebel/public_html/opsphere.com/components/com_easydiscuss/helpers/category.php on line 59

This fatal error was shown because the site is trying to use memory of 268435456 + 130968 = 268566424 bytes =256.1249 mb while allowed memory is 256 mb. Can you try increase it a bit more to memory_limit = 257 mb and see if this issue is still persist.

Strange, the error message no longer appears. We have the memory still set 256MB.

But, now it looks like the Categories Layout doesn't load at all. It gives us a 500 Internal Server Error.

I created another Menu with the 'Frontlpage Layout' and that page loads successfully.

Not sure if this would be a new post. I can start a new one if you needed.

Odd Sorry about that. Not sure why it didnt work for you but I reset the password and just logged in myself with that account and it seems to be working fine now. Please use credentials in site details section.

That's strange, because it still hitting the memory limit when access the single category page.
can you request with your webhosting provider to help you increase this 2 php information to be higher again and see how it goes?
memory_limit - 512MB
Max_execution_time - 300

Unfortunately I dont think that is a good idea. Memory utilization just keeps growing and setting it to 512 Meg is the max utilization for this shared box. If we top it out there, I am bound to have other issues with other services. No way to track down the memory leak without that?

I am sorry for the late reply.
I have found the issue with your site why hitting memory exhaustion. It is because of the there is category that set parent to himself. Here is my screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/e62AlAIlWfZ . Clearly it didn't have subcategory but it listed have 2 subcategories. I have helped you disable this category and create new subcategory. After disable this category, the memory exhaustion is gone. So, this category need to be deleted. I cannot delete this using MijoSQL component. Can you give us your site phpMyAdmin so that we check the database and help you delete this category and thus fixing your issue.
