Hello,

I checked other issue on the forum but they are related to non-object line 283 and the answers given are not related to my issue.

The composer seems to work in the back-end but in front-end:

Fatal error: Call to a member function hasCustomFields() on boolean in /administrator/components/com_easyblog/includes/composer/composer.php on line 288
It's most likely that you did not set a default category. Go to the categories listing at the back end of EasyBlog and set a default category by clicking the star icon.

If you already have a default category, ensure that the category is accessible by the user. In the latter versions, we actually added a checking when you try to default a category and you can only make a category as default if the category is public.

I checked all these settings before posting the issue.
I am now back from a meeting and the issue is now gone, I have no explanation.

Marking this issue as resolved for now...
