Hi folks, I installed EasyDiscuss Version: 3.2.9599 on Joomla 3.3.1 and am getting errors on every page. Screenshots are attached.

I tried the solution offered in this thread: http://stackideas.com/forums/easydiscus-is-missing-a-file
No luck. Any ideas as to what is going on?
Hello Nikolay,

Hm, it looks like somehow your installation wasn't completed and they are actually throwing these errors. Is this on your local machine?

This is on an internal server that is behind a firewall.

Hi Nikolay,

I am sorry for the late reply.
May I know how do you install EasyDiscuss in your site? Have you tried install through directory? As my colleague replied earlier, your installation wasn't completed. You need to reinstall EasyDiscuss component in your site.

Perhaps you can upload your site to a temporary location so that we can inspect this issue on your site.

Please advise.

Yes, I installed this site through the tmp directory. The regular "upload" mechanism did not work with this file.

Unfortunately I will not be able to upload the site anywhere. Can you provide me the missing XML file(s) based on the error messages? Or maybe a trace/log file I can send you?

Hi Nikolay Katko,

Can you try disable all the 3rd plugin in your site and left default plugin enable it.

Then try install from directory again and see how it goes?

Before you run install, can you check on your directory file permission from your backend > system > php information > directory permission.

I tried this again with all 3rd party plugins disabled. No luck.

Can you explain what you mean by "can you check on your directory file permission from your backend > system > php information > directory permission" some more? Can you give me the step by step instructions on what you want me to do here?

Would it help if I zipped up and sent you the com_easydiscuss folder from my server - so that you could see what actually gets installed?

Hello Nikolay Katko,

Check my screenshot below regarding with directory permission stuff.

Hmm, I think you can send us with your Easydiscuss installer here, so I can try in locally.

Thank you. All directories are "writeable."

You asked for the easydiscuss "installer" - I am attaching the original zip file I used to install easydiscuss. Please let me know if you need anything else.

Hi Nikolay,

I have download the EasyDiscuss installer file, have it install on my site. I have successfully install EasyDiscuss on my local and no error being displayed.

Perhaps you can upload your site to a temporary location so that we can inspect this issue on your site.

Please advise.

Gentlemen, attached are the zipped up EasyDiscuss folders from our installation. Can you review the contents of these folders and tell us if any of the files are missing?

Unfortunately, we cannot load our entire site anywhere due to security reasons.

Hello Nick,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. The file seems to be correct for me here as I have replaced both the back end and front end files and my local site still works and doesn't hit any errors like you have posted earlier.

To be honest I really don't have any idea at all as to why you are hitting these issues. If you are unable to provide us with the access to troubleshoot this on your site, I am afraid we might not be able to assist you on this as we cannot reproduce this issue on our end.

Thanks for understanding.
