Hi,

There is a problem with Facebook registration. Can you please check it, there was no problem with 1.2.6
Hello gökhan,

Sorry but I don't quite get you here. I have just tested this and it seems to be working fine for me on my end. However, I do seem to get this error "Kopyalama başarısız." at the end of the registration. Not sure where the errors are coming from, http://screencast.com/t/1wWHVB8lJT . Is this a plugin?

Hi Mark,

Thanks for investigations, But you tried normal registration. It works fine but the problem with facebook registration. it redirect to normal registration page.
JLIB_FILESYSTEM_ERROR_COPY_FAILED="Kopyalama başarısız."
The warning comes from Themplate. Actuallay its a feature of my template. It shows warnings or succes messages comes from any extention or pulugin. But ot sure why it showed "Copying Failed" (kopyalama başarısız). It can be related to easysocial?

Since 5 hours i have been investigation this issue but couldnt find why facebook registration redirects to Normal registration again:( This occured with 1.2.7, it was working before, not sure why its now

Hi,

Seems like the button is added by you/3rd party, as it is a JFB connect button and as such I am not sure how it is supposed to work. I can add the default Register with Facebook button from EasySocial in the module if you like but if you insist on using the JFB version of it, then you will have to consult the team from JFB.

Hi Jason,

I will be pleased if you add a easysocial own facebook button to quick registration modul, i tried but couldnt, something was wrong, So i used jfbc button, I am not sure if issue related to Jfbc facebook button, But we can try with easy social. Yes please add easysocial own facebook button to quick register module. I think you know what you will do, waiting for good news, thanks

Not: By the way can you please check my error logs, there are many error about photos, with the same php line. May be you can modify something for new release.

Hi,

I've applied the codes for you (I've also included this code in the next release). And since that you have JFB integrated with EasySocial, EasySocial automatically renders the correct button from JFB. Can you give it a try again and see?

Also, you might want to translate the 2 new lines I've added into mod_easysocial_register.ini

MOD_EASYSOCIAL_REGISTER_OR_REGISTER_WITH_YOUR_SOCIAL_IDENTITY="Or register with your social account"
MOD_EASYSOCIAL_REGISTER_REGISTER_WITH_YOUR_FACEBOOK_ACCOUNT="Register with Facebook Account"

Hi,

It seems like this part is written by JFB and they intended it this way.

You will have to consult the team from JFB on this as the button and redirection is handled by JFB (/plugins/socialprofiles/easysocial/easysocial.php).

If you turn off JFB's integration however, the default EasySocial's Facebook button will be rendered, and that button will redirect to the correct page instead.

Hi Jason,

What i will say to them? Can you please eleborate more? As you know many people use Jfb connect instead of easysocial facebook button, and because of this you integrated it to easysocial also. If we enable both of them, there will be a open tag problem and more i pointed before. So what they have to change to registration work correctly? Thanks

Hi,

To be honest with you I am not sure. The since the plugin is written by them, they actually controls where to point to.

Perhaps it is their intention to point the user to the full registration even if it is a Facebook Registration.

You could explain to them what do you think should happen if a user were to register using Facebook (whether is it direct registration or full registration).

Ok Jason, I will inform them, lets see what they will say...

By the way, yes, that will be good if we can choose Es facebook button or JFBC (like on login layout) on quick register module

Hi,

Sure thing but currently you can disable JFB (not the component) in EasySocial -> Settings -> Facebook. This way the button rendered is using EasySocial native's Facebook button, but JFB will still be running as usual on your site.

You are welcome

Here some hot issues I choosed simplify registration, after that tested Fb registration two times. As you know there is an option "Allow login with e-mail, and this option disables username. So ES Fb registration doesnt generate username otomatically, and registration fails with error : You have to choose an username I am not suer if it generate password also, I think these are the last missing things for ES FB registration

Hi,

The Joomla Activation part obeys the settings you set in the Profile under Registration tab.

I've patched the Username issue on your site. Can you give it a try again?

Hi Jason,

Yes, normal registration is under admin control to prevent spam users. But Facebook registration doesnt need control for spams, Facebook users are generally safe, i mean they are generally not spams.

So, If we allow user self activation because of facebook, we will under spam attacks ( with normal registration)

Jfcb achived this problem adding an option called "Skip Joomla User Activation" for Facebok registration , So the best and safe way this option, please look at screenshot

Hi,

Ah I see. This can be implemented but it takes some changes on the core part to achieve this.

I've created a task ticket for Mark.

Hi,

I've made a few patches on your site to fix this.

The password field is optional so the user can choose not to use any password. (As the field title does say optional).

Anyway, I've noticed that there are some redirection issue going on with Facebook sign in on your site. You might want to configure your Facebook app appropriately to reflect the correct redirection url. Facebook is quite strict in terms of url redirection and if your base url host is not the same, Facebook will throw error.
