Hi guys

As admitted before I dont have much of a clue when it comes to interating Web site with Facebook Page.

I have looked at the tutorials for the new UI in Facebook and it would appear the tutorials are out of date and incomplete. Can somebody help me or point me to full, complete and accurate instructions please.

Thanks

Graham

Hello Graham,

Before you setup the auto posting for EasyBlog, you first need to create the application on Facebook as outlined here, http://stackideas.com/docs/easyblog/autoposting/facebook-new-ui

If you are unsure on how to do this, provide us with the access to your Joomla site and your Facebook account and we'll get it setup for you

Hi Mark

That is the instructions I followed, and Facebook does not accept them and appears to be incomplete.

How do I give you access to my facebook business page? Just set you up as an admin for that page or do you need access to my own personal account? If so, which email address will I set it up for??

Hello Graham Cathcart ,

Sorry for late reply to this,
You can put your Joomla backend, Facebook business page URL Facebook accesslogin credential information in the optional information field below(At site details tab). Don't worry about privacy. Only Support team can view the information.

First I would like to make sure that your Facebook business page is it created by your own personal facebook account? Please advise.

Hi Arlex

Yes it is created via my Personal Facebook page.

I have sent you all the relevant passwords.

After you do it will I be able to see how to do it again myself?? Would it be possible to tell me how you did it so that I can do it on other pages??

Thanks in advance

Graham

Hi

Thanks for that, I have tried to copy what you did for another site, but now when I try to connect (At point where I am signing into Facebook to give permissions I get this- "The following permissions have not been approved for use and are not being shown to people using your app: publish_actions, manage_pages, user_groups and user_status. Submit for review now or learn more."

Yet the I have exactly the same things selected and all screens for the two apps for the two different domains are exactly the same.

What am I doing wrong or what do I need to do?

Thanks

Graham

Hello Graham Cathcart,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a public holiday for us here.

When you try click "Sign in with Facebook" it will pop-up this permission red line message, you can just ignore it and click next.
After you will see apps permission, you can set to public(everyone can see this stream in your Facebook page) or friend(only your social friend can see this stream). Then you click next again it should everything working fine.

If you do another site still facing the same issues, can you provide us with your another site details, Joomla backend, Facebook access so we can help you configure with this? Please advise.
