I did the upgrade today and after upgrading users are not able to log in using facebook and getting the following error:
Invalid Scopes: publish_stream. This message is only shown to developers. Users of your app will ignore these permissions if present. Please read the documentation for valid permissions at: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/facebook-login/permissions
Hello Austin,

It seems like in recent Facebook API, the publish_stream is replaced with publish_actions. Can you download the attachment below and place it inside your /administrator/components/com_easysocial/includes/oauth/clients/facebook folder and see how it goes?

I can confirm that it is NOT an upgrade issue - I have a pretty hacked up installation, and have not converted to the latest version yet.

I believe the API upgrades that Facebook is rolling out is finally hitting the login API, and therefore we are seeing some different behaviors that aren't properly being handled by ES.

Hi Ezrul,

Sorry for posting in Easysocial Thread, but as its the same issue i thought i'll post here.

The same issue is there for Easydiscuss Facebook Autoposting, it returns

Invalid Scopes: offline_access. This message is only shown to developers. Users of your app will ignore these permissions if present. Please read the documentation for valid permissions at: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/facebook-login/permissions

Followed by:
An error has occurred.
500 Invalid verifier code

In ED back end.

can you please advise the fix.

regards

Hi Ezrul,

Thanks after updating the helper file, i was able to complete the steps in the backend of ED.

After that i tried posting a comment in a easydiscuss thread, but it did not appear in the facebook page. Am i missing anything?

Secondly for Easyblog facebook integration, i followed your docs and submitted an application to facebook review. They have come back to me saying the below:

Notes from our review team
Web
I've written a test blog but couldn't see any options to share to Facebook. Can you please provide a timeline screenshot that shows how content is shared to Facebook?

publish_actions
General
We could not reproduce the requested permission. Please submit a timeline screenshot of a successful publish on Facebook, as well as detailed, step-by-step English instructions in the "Add Notes" section of the permission.

Hello Sunny,

For the easydiscuss autopost, only new question will get autopost to facebook while reply and comment will not get autopost to facebook.

Regarding on your easyblog questions, you need to submit your apps for review only when you want to allow your blogger to autopost their blog post into their own facebook account.

To enable autoposting during the creation of blog post, you need to click on share button as you can see from the screenshot here, http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-05-27_2009.png

Is there anyway i can have replies auto posted instead of questions? as my site does not allow new questions to be posted, only replies to existing threads. (i.e its only a discussions on fixed number of topics)

I'll be highly obliged if you can help me on this.

regards
Sunny
