I am having issues with some of the Facebook integrations. This is post upgrade from 1.5 to 3.2.

1. When I have the Likes turned on the code spills to the right which nulls the links in the category module. This will be obvious if you turn them on and go to the front (or any page).

2. Facebook comments aren't appearing. The top one or two show, and the correct number of comments displays but there's no way to see the rest of them. Also you cannot sort them. A good example URL is posted with the credentials.

3. Not as important but I use to have a gray bar under blog titles. Was that an old theme? The "carbon" theme is too dark and the blue one is to bright. Is there an easy way to play with those colors?

Many thanks!
Hello Laurens,

I can't seem to access the back end of EasyBlog due to permission issues. Please set the account with super administrator privileges. Also, when I modify the theme files via FTP nothing seems to change. This shouldn't be caused by CDN because CDN only caches the javascript and css. I tried to purge the cache at the back end and it doesn't seem to work either.

Hi Mark,

I've changed it to SA. My apologies.

I was able to switch themes using theme administration in Joomla by clearing the cache. Hopefully you will be able to as well.

I'll be in the backend optimizing this morning (US west coast). If you go in please send an email. If I'm working I'll see it and stop so you don't get unexpected results.

If I'm not, and clearing the cache doesn't work, feel free to turn off three plugins to make things easier: In Plugin Manager turn off (if on): System Cache, CDN and JCH. When you turn whichever were on originally back on, please be sure to clear the cache just before turning them on, and again just after.

Thanks!!

Hi again Mark,

Not sure if the name change changed anything but it's been pretty quite regarding this issue and was hoping to revive it.

I turned off the FB integration for now so the blog performs properly. You'll need to turn it back on and flush the cache to see the problems.

Thanks.

Hello Laoca,

I had fix the CSS regarding on this issue, but your CDN plugin is still holding the css cache so i had disable just the css for the plugin.
Please don't hesitate if you have any problems.

Thanks:)

Thank you. Mark. Is there a conflict with the CDN? Or was it just that it needed to have the cache flushed?

There's still the issue of the Facebook comments not displaying properly (only the top one shows) and they won't sort either.....

Hello Laoca,

I can't really debug anything on your site because anything that I change is not reflected on the site. I have no idea why and what cache system are you using, can you please turn them all off so that I can debug this?

Hi Mark,

I noticed that the CDN was turned off which should have made it easy but I also just cleared and turned off the Joomla System "page" Cache, the main cache and cleared the CDN cache (which shouldn't matter).

I added my Skype name in the hidden details as well in case you need me. I can't leave this all off too long as the site performs awful with all this off.

Thank you

Hello Laoca,

As discussed on Skype, there's no other workaround for the height because Facebook is calculating the height with their scripts and we can not intercept this. The only work around is to enforce a fixed height which is pretty huge but there are some white space gaps for blog posts which has fewer comments.

My recommendation? Don't use Facebook comments

mark,

Thank you for the kind and positive attention on an issue that's arguably not even caused by Easyblog. Don't know what I'd do without you guys!

hey Mark,

I'm afraid there are still issues and I should have given you this to check before.

When the FB integration is on, even with the Like button in the correct place there's still some sort of code causing issues in the right sidebar.

If you hover over the categories you'll not that the links don't work unless FB in turned off. This also causes havoc with crawlers and causes my sitemap crawler to abort unless I turn it off.

You're right, it seems to be working correctly now. What you did works - thank you.

I'll be back if the crawler fails only

Hello Laoca,

This issue was reported about a year ago and it was handled by one of our colleague which isn't with us any longer. Can you please start a new thread in our forums and provide us with the steps to reproduce this issue and also provide us with the access to the site?
