Events in v1.3.3 does not allow non-friend invite

Would it be nice if Events allows non-friend invite? I guess, this will be an easy add to Events feature since it's already been added to Groups. Since, Groups and Event are so much similar. I checked Events settings in the backend and it does not have Allow Inviting Non Friends settings in the backend.
