I have a couple of major problems in EasySocial after spending hours on this I am VERY Disappointed!

Events descriptions do not show up when you click event and this is everyone logged in or not.Title

Event streams appear to be set to show events to only friends to only friends by default...this is crazy...should it no be set to all initially! That would be common sense. Where and how do I make it so without having to go into every user.

If an event is changed or edited it remains the same in the calendar...this is a bug.

There is no video embed button or video section/showcase

I need help or need to purchase JomSocial
Hi FMT,

1. Events descriptions do not show up when you click event and this is everyone logged in or not.

By default, when you visit the event page, you'll see the activity stream. To see the event detail you have to click the "detail" tab (see screenshot S1).
Now you can have the event detail show by default by simply changing the setting in Easysocial / Settings / Events under "Event Default Display" as shown in screenshot S2.

2. Event streams appear to be set to show events to only friends to only friends by default...this is crazy...should it no be set to all initially! That would be common sense. Where and how do I make it so without having to go into every users.

I'm not sure to understand you there. From what I know, there is no specific privacy setting for Events to show in activity stream. As of today, it is controlled by the "other items" System privacy setting which you can set as default behavior in each profile types. Now, what make common sense here is completely relative to your community needs and personal preferences.

3. If an event is changed or edited it remains the same in the calendar...this is a bug.

You are right, there is a bug here... I'm sure the Stackideas team will fix this for you. In the mean time you can correct the issue by editing the event in your calendar.

4. You can add video in activity stream by simply pasting the URL from Youtube or Vimeo site alike. If you are looking at Video Gallery/pages, then this feature will be available in the upcoming Easysocial 1.4.

Hope this help.

Hello Aikigi,

Thank you so much for your helping hands. We really appreciate it.

FMT,

I assume most of the issue has already been explained by Aikigi and hopefully your issue will be resolved soon.

Regarding on the calendar issue we have confirmed that this is a bug in our easysocial calendar apps and I will forward this issue to our developers so they can fix it soon. Thank you for your kind understanding.
