Hi There,

Just a thought, idk if this is even possible. I'm customizing Frosty and creating a new Theme, just wondering if there is a way for form.json to pull Profile Type information? What I'm trying to achieve is to be able to limit some parts of the Theme to some Profile Types. For example, I have two Profiles: Staff & Community. The Everyone widget under News Feeds in the Dashboard, I like it to be NOT visible for Community Profile users but Staff Profile users can see it.

I was able to achieve this by editing the Dashboard file sidebar.feed.php and validate the user Profile. Just thinking since Theme has it's own config file why not use it for easy modification

Thanks!

Jackson
Hello Jackson,

Unfortunately right now it's not possible to add a settings for profile types but it's a pretty good idea though

Hi Mark,

Thanks for confirming! I guess I should stay with PhP to do my mods. I think you guys have added the foundation for Access and Privacy. Just have to dig deeper on how it work, I am seeing Privacy and Access Rules in the backend. Unfortunately, there is no documentation on it

Yeah, there's a lot of enhancements that we could add but we just have too much to work on right now. Great lesson learnt and we'll adapt to a new workflow in the future
