I managed to solve it installing the plugin System - jQuery Easy. I was wondering why when the plugin is shut down everything stops working.

Hm, to be honest I am not too sure why but I am suspecting that there are some script conflicts between your Joomla template and 3rd party modules / plugins.

EasyBlog doesn't run on "jQuery" namespace to avoid conflicts like this.
