Hi there,

We have been looking for feature to import some of RSS feeds into Easyblog. I found there is default feature named Feed Importer. However this doesn't work as expected.

It doesn't show images in latest blogs module, but shows images in list of blog.
Images are stored as the same size provided by feeds, we cannot decide image size. e.g 128 X 128 px or so.
We cannot set default image specific to feed.
We also want user to be redirected to actual RSS feed's link, when user clicks on Title or image of imported blog.
Also checked EB5.0, but that too doesn't have these features.

So we searched for some extensions, which can achieve these and found obGrabber. Here we will have to develop custom adapter.

Just want to ask, are you guys planning to develop these features. If you provide these features, I won't hesitate to suggest few of my friends in the group to try Easyblog.

Looking forward to your reply.

Thank you.
Hi Niranjan Deshpande,

Sorry for late reply to this,

Yes, you found out the correct page actually, can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you check on this feed importer issues? By right it should able to import the feed in your Easyblog.

Regarding the blog image question, we actually still working on it change the current default behaviour, so the module will detect the first image and show out. But unfortunately that was not possible when the user click on the blog title link it will not redirect to that RSS feed page.

Yes, currently we didn't have any plan for this , perhaps you can submit this feature request in our voice page http://stackideas.com/voices/easyblog , so everyone else could vote for it, the more people request something, and the more we look at developing it.
