Hey Guys,

I can't get the eMail notifications to work. I created some categories and assigned emails to each category so the correct people will get notified in case there is a post.
Hey Ralph,

I've tested the notification and I realized two things.

1) Based on screenshot 1 and 2, it seems that easydiscuss didn't send the email notifications. We suspect that the problem could be with your cronjob settings. You can view about the documentation about cronjobs here: EasyDiscuss Cronjobs

Should you need our direct assistance with cronjob, please provide your CPanel/webhosting details so that we can configure it for you.

If you do not want to use cronjob, you can use an alternative. Go to EasyDiscuss component, Settings>General>Maintenance and under Mails and the Send email when the page loads option, press Yes.

Take note that this will send the emails when the page loads, so this will make your page slow.

2) You mentioned that you want the email to be sent to the correct person. But the post I made under the IS Department Category seems to send to every registered user. The correct setting is in Settings>Notifications and in the option Notify all users on new post: press No.

I've already changed the settings for you.

Regards.
