Dear support,

We face an issue that we cannot reproduce. It happened around 4 times by now.

A) The user submits a blog article
B) we approve the blog article
C) the blog article is correctly published on the front end
D) but the user receives an email that his blog has been rejected

Please check the attached photo. This is an email that the blog article has been rejected sent to the user that created the article. But the article is correctly published on the front end.

Please check.

Regards,
2. Three users are responsible for reviewing the new blog posts in the backend. With regards to the today's mentioned "Admin 1" opened to view the new blog and then closed it in order to contact another member of the team. When they turned back to view the blog post once again the blog post was rejected by itself.

Thanks Phivos described this important point

Actually I can replicate this issue in my locally now when you described this yesterday night, but it seems like this is not easy to fix and I will log this issue into our tracker and will find a better solution in next release version.

By the way, why this happen is because `autosave` trigger the save post function and make the `published` pending state changed to `draft`, so end up it send out the rejected email to your user.

I have temporary turn off this `autosave` feature, it should be work fine now.

Hey there,

Perhaps you can update Easyblog latest version 5.0.35 version and see is it this issue still persists?

- After you updated, try purge all the sent email from Easyblog backend.

Dear Arlex,

We updated EasyBlog and purged all sent emails but the problem occurred once again. Please check the email sent on
2016-05-10 12:38:25

That article is correctly published on the front end but the email sent to the user says that the article has been rejected.

Dear Arlex,

Thank you for the prompt reply. We approve the blog following these steps:

1. Go to backend>components>easyblog>posts>pending
2. Open the pending blog article in order to read its content
3. While we have the pop-up window open we click "Approve and publish post" - i.e. the button that is inside the pop-up window.

We run some tests but we cannot reproduce it. But you saw that for the same user it happened today and yesterday - i.e. two times.

Dear Arlex,

We faced tis issue with various users. Just it happened around 5 times, twice for the last user. The user that relates to the last two times is a real user of the website so we do not have his credentials.

Okay, seems this issue very hard to replicate, let's try following methods :

1. Share with us which kind of pending post you would like to get approve? I will test one by one and follow these instruction as you mentioned at above :
1. Go to backend>components>easyblog>posts>pending
2. Open the pending blog article in order to read its content
3. While we have the pop-up window open we click "Approve and publish post" - i.e. the button that is inside the pop-up window.

2. Before I approve these pending post from your site, can I have the permission to purge all of your current email which already notified to your site user?

Dear Arlex,

Unfortunately we cannot replicate the issue as it happens from time to time. As fas as we understand the users submit blog posts through the ordinary procedure of creating a new post. Then we approve them in the way explained above. Isn't there an error log or something in order to understand what went wrong?

Yes, you can proceed with purging the emails.

Hey Phivos,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

I've applied some log file in your site regarding this file -> JoomlaFolder\administrator\components\com_easyblog\includes\post\post.php , I would like to see which code trigger that post reject function even that is approve method.

By the way, is it possible control your site moderator do not perform any reject post first?

Because if some moderator reject any post on your site, I will very hard to track back what is the exact accurate data from the log file.

Dear Arlex,

Ok noted. We will not reject any article.

We even contacted that user and asked him to create a new test blog in order to see what's wrong. Let's hope he will respond promptly.

Dear Arlex,

I thought we closed this ticket. Anyway we had another incident of the abovementioned issue, so I write to you in this ticket as it is still open.

Please check the mail activities on 3 June 2016 - the email sent to "Lazarrrtom21@in.gr". That blog article was approved but a rejection email was sent (you can recognise it from the email title "Η καταχώρησή σας απορρίφθηκε από τον συντονιστή της ιστοσελίδας"). I just came across it today.

Hm, it seems like you have update your Easyblog to latest version and override with my changes in this following file -> JoomlaFolder\administrator\components\com_easyblog\includes\post\post.php

So I unable to track back the code who trigger this reject function when admin approve the post.

By the way, I've modified again at the same file.
- Currently do not update to next new version
- Do not perform reject post temporary

Hey Phivos,

Thanks for getting back to me, I've checked back all of my track code, it seems didn't have any weird data, unless someone go click the `reject post` button from your site.

May i know if your site user submit a new post in your site, only this email address (penaltara@outlook.com) will get the email notification right?

Also may i know how many users can access your blog listing page from backend?

At last, I already put 1 more code from this file again -> administrator/components/com_easyblog/includes/post/post.php for check who is that person trigger this reject button.

Dear Arlex,

1. Yes, only the email penaltara@outlook.com receives the email notification on new blog creation

2. Three users are responsible for reviewing the new blog posts in the backend. With regards to the today's mentioned "Admin 1" opened to view the new blog and then closed it in order to contact another member of the team. When they turned back to view the blog post once again the blog post was rejected by itself.

3. With regards to the new log created on who rejects the article, perhaps in the future the log shows that "Admin 1" rejected it but in fact he just closed the window.

Please note that this is the first time that the blog is rejected by itself automatically. The previous times the admin was approving it but the user was receiving a rejection email.

Hopefully you will find the solution.

Dear Arlex,

It happened again today. The administrator approved the blog post of the user but the user received an email that his blog post has been rejected. Please check the email sent to the user kospelek@hotmail.com. His blog post is displayed at the front page right now.

The administrator saw the submitted post, then opened it and when he finished reading the submitted post then he approved it from the same window (i.e. the opened popbox).

Dear Arlex,

Currently the autosave is enabled and set to 90 seconds in the backend>components>easyblog>settings>general>(tab composer). Is this how it should be? or did you disable it from somewhere else?

As per our understanding we will be able to use the autosave feature once you fix the issue on the next release, is that correct?

I think I missed up turn off that `autosave` option from your backend setting, you can refer on my attached screenshot below which I already help you turn it off just now.

Yes, you're correct, currently have to temporary disable this first, once we fix this issue in next release version, you can turn it on again.
