in the email activities log it states that emails are being sent, however none are actually being received by anyone
Hi Ted,
Your mail settings appear to be fine. Can you provide us your cPanel access so we can check your cronjob configuration? Thanks.

I can, however, I would have thought the cron is definitely running as it picks up the emails to the associated imap account and sends the Slack notification, just not the email notification.

Hey Ted,
My apologies. Actually I figured out the issue. It seems your email sender setting does not match between Joomla's Global Configuration page and EasyDiscuss email notification settings.
1. Global Configuration>Server>Mail Settings>From email
2. ED Settings>Notifications>E-mails>Sender Email

These two emails has to be the same. If not, EasyDiscuss won't be able to send the email out to users. Try changing the email in ED notifications settings to the one in global configuration(.cc). Email sending should be working fine once you do this. Let us know how it goes.
