If you are using SH404 and posting from the back end, the SEF urls would not be used. This is because the urls aren't being translated in SH404 from the back end.

I don't think so my site is using that one. All I find on my site is this SEF pluging: "System - SEF" the standard Joomla plugin.

As my colleague mentions before and I have rephrase it, SEF is only working when posting from the frontend. This is because the urls aren't being translated when you posting from backend. Can you try posting a blog from frontend and see if the url is SEF or not.

Yes, you are quite right it posts SEF URLs when posting from the front end but I guess Mark said that it should be able to post SEF from the back end as well unless the site uses the SH404 plugin. My site is only using the System - SEF plugin that came with Joomla.

I remember that in EB 3.9 it was possible to post SEF URLs from the back end as well.

I believe you have misunderstood what my colleague mentioned before. SEF is only working when you post a blog from the frontend. So, in order for you to make the autoposting SEF, you need to post it from the frontend.

Yes, you are right currently the SEF is only working for the Front End.

I think, Mark is the best person to clear the confusion since he mentioned the SH404 plugin in particular and since I remember the SEF used to be working fine from the back end in EB 3.9 with the standard Joomla System SEF plugin?

If you are not using SH404 SEF, then the links that is used in the auto posts should be on SEF. If you are still having these issues, please provide us with both the back end and FTP access to the site
