As Mark closed the Easysocial Mobile App Thread v2, this v 3 can be used to continue information about the Mobile app.
Today I dived into the deep by buying the Customized Easybundle ( = EasySocial and EasyBlog mobile app) from AppCarvers for USD 427

My aim is to roll out the customized mobiloe apps as soon as possible and I will keep you posted how things proceed and, -hopefully-, work out.

I always read about login of the app but never about registration. Is there a registration with the app possible or only login? In the demo version there is no registration...

Testing the push notifications with latest jUnite weekly 4.3.0 is not possible, because the app crashes immediately at start-up on an Android 4.1.1. phone. In the previous mobile v2 thread Aaron mentioned he had the same problem with a Android 5.1 phone.

So far it seems the latest jUnite weekly 4.3.0 is not working. In the Google play store it shows jUnite Weekly has only been downloaded 10 times, and thus far we know of 2 users that the app does not work.

I am waiting on a reply from AppCarvers on my support ticket, and for them to come up with a fix ASAP.

Concerning the customized Easybundle; yesterday I submitted all data AppCarvers need for buidling the customized version. I trust they come up with a version for me to test very soon. Will keep you posted.

I currently have a ticket with AppCarvers due to the crashing of the app. I am running Android 5.1.1. They released 4.3.1 of the app on the Google Play Store, but that has not fix it on my end. I am hoping to hear back from them tonight.

@Wes1 - I too will probably be buying the EasyBundle later this month. I will let everyone know how it goes with the customization.

@Sabih - These are the next features that are going to be added in the next weekly build.

Post delivery minor bug fixes on the above mentioned feature
Sign Up / User Registration
Required fields registration is supported
Leader Board
Points and Badges Support

AppCarvers also mentioned that they have Facebook working for Social Login and are also working on Google+ and Twitter logins. I am hoping that they will add LinkedIn too. I have a lot of business users on my site.

Yesterday AppCarvers emailed me a new version of jUnite named: jUniteWeeklyNew.apk
Filesize is 2.294 kB

This version does run on my Android 4.1.1. phone,
but the push notifications do not work, eventhough I installed the ac_api_installer_v1.3.zip and set up the Google Cloud Messaging.
I am running EasySocial 1.4.1 and EasyBlog 5.0.26

Have asked for advice and a fix frrom AppCarvers.

I am also interested in this but i am researching development for a native app. Apps developed by AppCarvers are not native (they are developed using PhoneGap if i am not mistaken ... which is basically a "web view" emulated by the device)

At the core of any mobile app we need a REST API. There are some partially solutions out there.

1. Techjoomla's "com_api" + their EasySocial plugin for "com_api"
* free, unsupported and no documentation available, not sure if they covered the entire EasySocial functionality

2. jBackend component
* paid product, pretty cool stuff, nice and fast support from developer (Luigi) , no EasySocial "module" available for the moment

Our best bet i think it's to wait for a fully functional REST API developed "in-house" by the Stackideas team. This API if it will be complete and if it will "expose" the entire EasySocial functionality to mobile world .... will transform EasySocial into a BEAST product

Hello Mist,

Please see my replies below.

1. PhoneGap
We are using PhoneGap. However we are not loading the website in a web view. We are using Cordova APIs to be able to develop cross platform. So the codebase is html5 and Angular JS with Cordova apis.

2. APIs
Initially the plan was that Stackideas will have REST APIs baked into the core of EasySocial. However it was becoming hard to plan releases as the API needs to be pretty extensive in the long term. So it was decided that we will write and maintain the APIs based on com_api. com_api is used extensively around the Joomla world for adding Rest APIs. And it is supported for you as part of the Custom Development Package that you buy at appcarvers. APIs are being added as we add new features to the EasySocial Apps.

In the long run if StackIdeas does plan to have its own APIs, we will move to using them as it will reduce additional maintenance on our end.

@James Replying to your post in the earlier thread here : http://stackideas.com/forums/easysocial-mobile-app-thread-v2#reply-227090

@AppCarvers, because of the time delay with Apple are you able to do dev releases on IOS so we can test them? I know its possible to do it, there are some settings that have to be enabled on the Apple Phone to support non-verified publishers or something along those lines. This would be ideal to ensure both platforms are identical and working well.

The way to do it is that you can give us the UDID of your phone and we can do a special build for you to test. The other way is getting an enterprise profile that allows distribution outside the appstore without needing an UDID

WHOA?!?!?! I can not believe this! I just bought your app. How can you make an app for a Social Network site without registration? I need this URGENTLY!

I thought it is just not inside the demo... This is like buying a car and not getting wheels and the vendor tells me that I will get wheels one day in the future...

I am sorry that I sound upset but I have spent hundreds of dollars and now I got a big surprise. I need a date for the registration working.

@Wes1 - have you been able to get the Push Notifications to work in the new jUnite Weekly build? Appcarvers just released version 4.4. They also told me that the API has been updated (still showing version 1.3) and now in the App you need to scroll down to the bottom of the App menu and turn on push notifications.

@AppCarvers - Do you plan to enable users to manage which type of Push Notifications that they will receive. It would be nice to disable certain notifications. I can see some of my Users not using this feature because they would be getting too many notifications. I know there is an EasySocial app that is installed now, but what is planned for this app. When you click on it, it just shows a blank page.

So far I used all latest packages provided by AppCarvers, but the push notifications do not work.
Also, there is no unread messages counter shown in the Conversations tab, which I was told there would be.
Maybe that missing counter is related to the push notifications not working, I don't know.

AppCarvers informed me last week they would provide me today with my first customized version of EasyBundle, so hopefully I get to test a working version today.

Will keep you posted.

Have some troubling news to share with you.

I provided AppCarvers with testaccounts on my website that is being developed live.
The IPs they use, are listed in the CBL. It shows signs of being infected with a spam sending trojan, malicious link or some other form of botnet. I informed them a few minutes ago. CBL http://www.abuseat.org/ reports this:

====

The host at this IP address is infected with the CryptPHP PHP malware.

CryptoPHP is a threat that uses backdoored Joomla, WordPress and Drupal themes and plug-ins to compromise webservers on a large scale. More information about this threat can be found on the referenced link below.

Fox-IT: CryptoPHP - Analysis of a hidden threat inside popular content management systems
Attackers Using Compromised Web Plug-Ins in CryptoPHP Blackhat SEO Campaign

This infection almost certainly means that the infected web site has used pirated plugins from the nulledstylez.com, dailynulled.com sites or some other site that specializes in providing "nulled" (pirated) software. Fox-IT's research has shown that every pirated theme or plug-in on these two sites has been infested with the cryptophp malware.

This was detected by a TCP connection from 125.99.61.134 on port 35948 going to IP address 192.42.116.41 (the sinkhole) on port 80.

The botnet command and control domain for this connection was "mtvnye.com".

=====

This is really BAD.

@AppCarvers please respond ASAP to this community.
How can we be sure your API and software are NOT infected?
For now, I will be deinstalling all AppCarver software.

read more about how to check if your server is infected here:

Hey guys,

Some of us here in Asia uses DHCP and it could cause false positive reports when we unluckily get that specific ip address but it's best that Parth or Ashwin could elaborate more on this

Hello Sabih,
Registration is currently under development. We expect it to be ready between 4 weeks. We'll be posting updates on our blog at AppCarvers. The features that more users are prioritized first and you can also use the Vote up Vote Down on our forums to Suggest and vote for features in the feature request board.

Mark, thank you for replying. Seen the fact the infection is specific for CMS like Joomla, I fear their servers/machines are infected as reported. I recall another user in the previous thread mentioning security warnings he ran into when visiting the Techjoomla website. On http://blog.fox-it.com/2014/11/18/cryptophp-analysis-of-a-hidden-threat-inside-popular-content-management-systems/ you can follow this if you have root access to your server:

find . \( -name \*.jpg -or -name \*.png -or -name \*.jpeg -or -name \*.gif -or -name \*.bmp \) -type f -exec file {} \;

This finds all the .jpg, .png, .jpeg etc. extension files and executes the “file” command on each file found in the search. On a normal .png file, the result would be:

/path/to/file/file.png : PNG image data, 28 x 28, 8-bit/color RGBA, non-interlaced

But in our case with the CryptoPHP malware, the entry for social.png file would look something like this:

/path/to/infected/file/social.png: PHP script text

As a conclusion, the “grep” command lists only the PHP scripts found in the results of the “find” + “file” commands. My point was that if you’re trying to find social.png files that are malware, you should also look for other files that are PHP malware scripts inserted into image (.jpg, .png etc.).

Hello @Sabih The IPs are assigned by our ISP and change sometimes. Many a times as Mark said above. However we'll contact and ISP and ask them to check.

Thanks !

Hallo AppCarvers/TechJoomla,

Sorry, but you are using that IP for at least 1 year, and it seems your Tekdi Web Solutions branchename (= TechJoomla) is running all 4 domains on the IP for a year now. The address of Techjoomla/Tekdi and the geo address of the IP match, so it is probably your own server running there?

VirusTotal's passive DNS only stores address records. The following domains resolved to the given IP address.
2015-08-14 vidyasagar.tekdi.net
2015-06-16 himangi.tekdi.net
2014-11-12 mahesh.tekdi.net
2014-11-05 techjoomla.tekdi.net

The ISP changing IPs is not a valid explanation. This means your server is infected.

Hi wes1,

Thanks for the analysis. Seems we mis-understood what you meant. That is a static IP, and does point to a server that has a few old Joomla installations that aren't being used anymore. We'll get that sorted out ASAP.

Please be assured that these installations are no longer being used, and that there is no chance this infection has made it's way into the codebase. In fact the code for the API is publicly available on github -

https://github.com/techjoomla/com_api-plugins
https://github.com/techjoomla/com_api

You can view it anytime and confirm there's no malicious code in there. In fact we have been responsive in terms of addressing any security related issued in the API code as you can see on this thread -

@Ashwin, thanks for the ref to github.

It would appear your own dev on the API enabled you to move forward while the EB/ES devs worked on the new major releases. So far, it looks like the next ES rev will include "JSON api for profile editing". Is that exposed via the REST API AppCarver is developing?

Is Joomla still planning to include web services and how does that fit into AppCarver's / StackIdeas product strategy?

In your spare time (lol) it would be nice to see a REST API overview diagram so that the present system would be clearer, at least to me

Update for those interested; I am still waiting for my customized Easybundle which I bought and paid USD427 for 12 days ago.

I have asked AppCarvers to email me my customized apk for Android and the api package, with working push notifications, so I can check and test these asap.

The push notifications are not working with the latest general junite and api versions that were provided by AppCarvers.

Hi Appcarvers Team,

We've noticed a critical issue with our custom ES app and hoping for problem resolution.

Issue: Stream -> Truncate content at specified length. Doesn't work in the app.

We've set "Stream->Truncate content at specified length = 140 characters". In ES app, when user clicks "More" nothing happens. Full content is not displayed. So we removed the limit. However we believe there is some default limit set in ES. As such, our users are unable to view full stream items [text] via the app. This is a critical issue for us and perhaps will result in user drop-off unless resolved soon. What can we do to resolve this issue?

Has anyone else using ES custom app experienced this issue?

Thx.

I just wanted to let everyone know that the Push notifications is working. AppCarvers fixed the issue and sent me a new build of the jUnite Weekly app this morning. There is a register button added to the login page, but I can not test this on my site because my site's url is not hard-coded into the app.

@AppCarvers - Will you be supporting the profile types in EasySocial during registration? I do not see the option when I click on the Register button.

I believe the guys at AppCarvers need to look at the way their API generates the output of the event description. The app from AppCarvers rely on their com_api to generate the output and it does not connect to EasySocial's API I believe.

Hi Everyone,
A quick note on the push notifications. The notifications will work in the demo app only if you use the Demo Site to login. This happens since the Google Cloud Messaging key needs to be hardcoded into the app. In case of custom builds however this will be your GCM key, so notifications in the custom app will of course work.

@Aaron
Thanks for confirming that the push notifications work for you.

@wes
The team has been waiting for a few days for you to provide the GCM key so that they can complete your build. Do respond so that we can provide you a build with working push notifications.

@Juz / @Aaron
The read more issue reported by you will be fixed in the next weekly build.

@Eileen
We're currently only focusing on the com_api based approach, this way we can also ensure we can support older versions of Easysocial that do not ship with the JSON API. Additionally, this has also helped us reduce the support time needed from the Stackideas team so that they can continue to focus on building great features into the product. However once the JSON API is released we would definitely review and make course corrections if needed in order to make it easy for us and Stackideas to collaborate on the APIs.

Hi Ashwin,

Thanks for your update on notifications. Push notifications is an important feature many of us have been anxiously waiting for. However, I wonder if those who've subscribed to custom app [including myself] should've been informed that we've to provide the GCM key etc. I've not received any update on this via @Appcarvers blog. Perhaps we can improve on this in future. Otherwise, we may overlook such requirements unless we follow these forums regularly.

In addition, we've noted a critical bug in ES custom/latest JUnite weekly build. Photo uploads in groups [and perhaps main dashboard too] are not being displayed in stream. It's as if nothing happened. However, when a user clicks on the photos menu they find the uploaded photo there. Problem exists on iOS and Android. If users upload photos via the ES web app in groups, they can see it in stream on the app. So no issue on ES side.

Can others using the app confirm if you've encountered same problem? This is serious and at least our users are complaining about it. Hope this can be resolved soon.

Thx.

Dear Appcarvers Team,

Note: We're positing on this thread so others can validate if they're facing similar issues. We've experienced all this in our custom app as well as noted some in JUnite latest build.

There appear to be several CRITICAL ISSUES with the app. Not sure if this has been introduced in our recent build update. When we used the last build version we did not seem to encounter some of these issues. During build upgrade we assumed that functionality working previously would continue to work. Perhaps a rather big assumption. Here's the list:

1) Photo upload not working in groups. Even text/ note posted in group doesn't appear in group stream. Photos get uploaded from mobile app but do not appear in group stream. They only show up in Photos menu. What's the point showing only inside Photos menu?

2) Photo albums not displayed in group stream. If photo albums are created from ES web app in groups, they do not render in group stream on mobile app.

3) Photos not displayed in group stream at all. This seemed to work in earlier build or we would not have purchased the custom app.

4) Truncate text -> "More" option not working.

5) Event handling not working in the app. Can't view event details or save to calendar.

6) Push notification not working in the app. With Ashwin's recent update on GCM key we'll provide that separately and hope to get this working.

7) Story posted in group not displayed in main dashboard but only within group. This displays correctly on ES web but not on mobile app.

With so many issues CRITICAL and NOT WORKING in the app, wonder what do our customers use the app for?

Thanks.

Hello Ashwin,

I emailed the project number to you 3 days ago.

Concerning the ticket you created on your appcarvers website, I never received an email notification about this ticket and its request.
It is a bit hard to reply to a ticket if its existence is unknown to me.

Hope you can now proceed with the Android app and look forward to the apk.

An update for everyone interested in what you can expect from AppCarvers when you buy a customized Easybundle app.
Today ( 20 days after purchasing the customized bundle) I could start testing the customized app which I could download from a support ticket on the AppCarvers website.

Beware: you need to login to your AppCarvers account on their website regularly, because if they post a support ticket in their ticket-system you do not get an email notification about it . So you have to login and check yourself to prevent time wasted!

The customized app includes EasySocial and EasyBlog
I am testing it together with ac_api_installer_v1.5.zip that needs to be installed in the Joomla backend.

The colors and logo are nicely adapted to the design I provided.
The app works pretty OK although rather slow.
Luckily the first signs of working push notifications are here.

The first issues encountered in testing and reported back to AppCarvers:

- push notifications for chat messages from website <---> mobile user work, but push notifications from mobile user <--> mobile user do not work.
- when replying in a chat, the red error message “message not send” is displayed.
If you leave the chat and go back to it, the reply is listed in the chat.
- The push notification is shown on the mobile phone, but when you open it, the app opens with the news page while it should immediately open and show the chat page with the message
- in profile view, birthdate is shown as code
- translation incomplete, need to add translation strings

Also uploading the apk to google play did not work. When uploading the apk in google play, this error is shown:
"Upload failed. You uploaded an APK that is not zip aligned. You will need to run a zip align tool on your APK and upload it again."

So far for now. Will keep you posted about the progress of the customized app. Cheers.

So there are no push notifications for newsfeed posts sent to you? Just for private messages?
Does the user have any control over what kind of messages they want to generate push notifications? For example, they could choose private messages and posts from friends, but not public posts.

OK, after 1,5 day of testing the customized app, my advice to anyone considering to buy the customized app, is to wait with that.
Unfortunately. the latest app version is crowded with small and big bugs.
As you get only 6 months of support, it is better to wait with purchasing until these bugs are fixed.

Today I will forward a structured list with all bugs to AppCarvers.
Once I get a new version of the app without these bugs, I will report back.

@norske: you also get push notifications for a "Like" and "Follow". Strangely enough, you do not get a push notification for a "friendship request". There is also no notification if an user you follow, publishes an update. In the Push Notification setting you only have On of OFF and no option to select for what happenings you get a notification.

Hi All,

Concur with views shared by wes1.

We have purchased the app nearly 6 months ago and now perhaps it's time for the expiry of first 6-month support period [although we're early adopter]. However, some of the basic functionality in the app doesn't work. Cannot upload photos in groups, cannot view photo albums, can't view main dashboard stream items, events issue, "read more" issue etc. There appear to be too many issues and we've found it extremely difficult to even keep track of all the problems in Appcarvers private support tickets. None of the issues we've submitted in the past 2 months have been resolved to date.

Appcarvers team, would you term it a stable build for that premium price? As the support starts after the release of a stable build. Are there any timelines for bugs to be resolved in the app. A standard response we get on AC support ticket is that these features work in JUnite latest build. I've tried that on iOS with ES1.4.3 and ac_api_installer_v1.5 and none of the features we're having issues with work. What are we missing? Do these features work only on Android version? Is there a stable build that can support ES 1.3.30?

Hopeful but losing user interest and perhaps many of our users logging off from using our community!

Hey Wes,

Why not try to ask the guys over at AppCarvers for an extension of your subscription? I am sure they'll listen. I will try to talk to them as well

@Juz - I have been testing the Android app using the weekly build and it is farther along in development than the iOS app from what I can tell from the above posts. The iOS app hasn't been updated since August.

1) The "read more " issue has been fixed in the Weekly Build. Now it shows the entire post in the stream. No longer truncated.
2) When uploading an image to the Android app in a Group, it now shows up in the Group stream on the web.
3) Creating a discussion on the app in a Group, shows up on the web too.

It appears that AppCarvers fixes the Android app a lot faster than the iOS app.

(I a currently using the latest version of EasySocial, jUnite Weekly build 4.5, and api version 1.5)

@Wes1 - I second your recommendation that there should be some type of settings for the push notification for users to turn ON/OFF which notifications that they want pushed to their phones. It could be added to the Notification Settings built into EasySocial. There is a section under Notification Settings called "Others (Apps and Fields)". It looks like the EasyBlog app adds notification settings to this list. Could you post the list of bugs that you have found in this forum post so we can see where the problems are within the app.

@AppCarvers - Can you please fill us in on the development of the Push notifications. What is the function of the Push Notification EasySocial app? Are you going to allow Users to be able to turn ON/OFF certain push notifications? When is the iOS app going to be updated? Most of our employees use iPhones and I would like to have a couple of them test the iOS app using the latest build with our website.

@Everyone - The android app is indeed being updated more frequently than the iOS one, we'll have that addressed on top priority. In fact, we're exploring if we can set up an enterprise account to bypass the App store submission queue. We're also looking at using testflight in internal testing mode to speed things up.

@Juz - What you've been seeing is a custom build based on the weekly version hence you were seeing the issues. They've been more or less ironed out and we'll also get the iOS app updated as mentioned above so you can start testing it on your iPhones.

Push Notifications - Currently the app supports a basic on/off for all push notifications. Grained control for turning on/off specific ones is definitely on the cards. This might need a few minor changes in Easysocial, but we'll work with the SI team to get those added in.

BTW @wes - you should be receiving email notifications once someone updates your ticket, can you confirm if appsupport [at] appcarvers.com is set as a safe sender so you don't miss those emails

@Wes - Thanks for posting your bug list. This really helps the group see how much more polish that AppCarvers needs to do with the current feature set before it is ready for the public.

Before I can buy the product, I need to demo the app for the Owner and the Senior VP of my company. I want to make sure the demo goes smoothly.

We are going to be using EasySocial as a way to connect all of our employees. We all work from remote locations and this gives us a chance to share with the group with what we are all working on. We all have smartphones and this app will help stay connected while we are out of the office.

Hey Ashwin,

Thanks for your response. We purchased a custom build nearly 6 months ago and after the teething rollout issues, we thought we had a stable app. However, to date my users can't even perform simple functions like photo upload, photo viewing etc. on iOS or Android version of our "custom app". So your response that all these issues have been "ironed out" actually makes me feel worse off that we're still on a build that has such basic challenges. And the fact that my users complain daily about this and are dropping off not using the app anymore. So we actually "bought trouble and dissatisfied customers at a price". And no matter how much we post on your Appcarvers forum we do not get a firm reply on when [date] we can expect a usable custom build. There appears to be no sense of urgency and we've waited for months to get a usable app that can actually work. Extremely disappointed!

All in all the actual situation is what I was fearing for you
At this point I am even wondering whom should pay whom, testers (we can not call them users) pay developers or developers pay testers
I am hoping AppCarvers will extend for free your subscription until a true bug free stable version is released and not an "alpha" as it is for now.

@AppCarvers
Even if I tried to support your efforts I have to admit that all this does not drive confidence for the future in your ability to create this kind of product...
I am still hoping for all Stackideas users who would like to complement their website with an App to see the end of the tunnel is not that far away but unfortunately I am gradually loosing faith...

Hey guys,

Regarding your issues that you are facing with the app, I strongly suggest that you guys post these bug reports / issues that you are facing on their forums / helpdesk. I believe posting it there would yield a better result.

The guys at AppCarvers doesn't check our forums often and I doubt that they are familiar with our support workflow too.

Either way, I am sharing this links with the guys over at Techjoomla. I believe it's a long weekend off for them as they were celebrating some public holidays the past week I believe.

Mark, of course I did post the bug report at their forum too. In the evening of the 30th of oct. appcarvers provided me with a "newly updated" version of my customized app, as a response to my bugreport.

As you can read from the posts above of your other CUSTOMERS, they have been left in the cold by your partner AppCarvers. As of now I can definitely join them, as of the many bugs I reported only 2 are fixed. All other bugs are still in there !!!
Even simple translations are still missing, eventhough I reported these and provided them with ready-to-use translation strings.

So far, after pouring a lot of time, energy and USD in EasySocial, EasyBlog and this "mobile customized app" (which is totally disfunctional for any serious usage), I can only say I do not recommend anyone to buy this software combination, as it is currently unfit for any kind of serious mobile app integration.

This is a HUGE disappointment and this also reflects to you and your StackIdeas company Mark.

For what it is worth, I have asked AppCarvers this today in a support ticket:

Please confirm you will set the startdate for the customized easyblog bundle to the future date on which I will have received a Andoid and iOS version free of bugs, thank you.

@Wes1 - I just downloaded your app to my Nexus 6P and it is running pretty fast. What type of hosting are you on, VPS or Shared? I like that AppCarvers implemented an auto loading feature in the stream so you do not have to tap on a button to load more streams. I am from the US so there is a slight language barrier when navigating the app. I think the blog portion of the app still needs some work with the presentation of the posts and I still have had issues with the blog posts rendering correctly in the jUnite Weekly build.

With all the complaints with this app, I think AppCarvers should freeze the features they have and produce a product that is stable. If they want to keep pushing out the jUnite Weekly app to show what they are working on that is great. I do not know why AppCarvers is not doing a better job of using the EasySocial community as Beta tester and give them a perk for doing so. Such as a discount to the app. I would be more than willing to do this. I have been playing around with the weekly build for weeks and when I find a bug I let them know. They have been really responsive in getting them fixed and pushed into the latest build of the app or updating their API.

I too would like to see all the EasySocial features in the app, but I think everyone would agree that a stable app is more important. If we want to keep our users happy and have them keep returning to the app that we have invested a lot of money in, this should be a priority. To keep adding the features to a published app without taking the time to test the app before pushing it out to your users is asking for trouble.

From my own experience of having an app developed for a Wordpress plugin that is being developed by someone else entirely requires a lot of testing. I have had our app developer tell us that there are no bugs, but when I have a few of our employees test it out with different phones it seems that we always come across a bug or two. There is only so much testing that our app developer can do. He is only one person. What really sets us back is when the plugin developer pushes out an update or feature, it could break our app entirely. I can not blame our app developer because it is out of his hands. I know people are frustrated and I am not saying AppCarvers is not to blame, but we all need to be doing a lot of testing and not relying on the developer to tell us that it is stable.

It runs on a very powerful dedicated server, so this gives you a good indication of the max speed of the app in combination with your phone.

What annoys me the most, is that this latest version still has almost all bugs I reported and even the translation has not been updated. Also there still is a very annoying error message when you send a message in existing chat.

I reported back to appcarvers and provided them with buglist v2 and I also asked for the ios version.
Once I get it I will make it available for those who like to test.

@Mark,

You will probably have to close all topics like this one or create a new section:

"Discussions Between Members"
In this section members can share and discuss their own insights
-- WE DO NOT GIVE SUPPORT IN THIS SECTION -- WE MIGHT EVEN NOT READ IT ! --
---------------- but some topics might be closed or deleted without warning ----------------

I agree it is not your jobs to support and keep track on the issues created by 3rd party developers.
But having the possibility for us members to participate to this kind of topic is interesting and useful.

Hi Everyone,

On the bug fixes - we have released the EasySocial version 5 on play store with lot of bug fixes including the ones reported by Juz, Aaron, Wes and everyone else. We'll also reply to your tickets and confirm each issue is addressed after double checking.

We are currently in the process of updating everyone's build to the latest version, the updates are being shared with everyone via the AppCarvers support ticket system. If you haven't already received your build, you will get that in the next 1-2 days.

Agreed we're a little behind on the reported issues due to an upcoming holiday all of next week, but we're getting all builds ready ASAP. To make it up for the delay, we're also extending everyone's subscription by 3 months until end of January. For Early Adopters, their subscription begins after this 3 month period.

We're already working on the approach suggested by Aaron, where stability is the key target right now, and not new features. Specifically on the push notifications, allowing a toggle for each specific notification is on the cards, we'll surely take it up in the next version once the current issues are all stabilised.
