Hi

Easysocial Events

Is it possible to have a custom field that is only viewable to members who are registered and attending an event?

I run an Online Simracing League and Gaming Community Website. We use Easysocial as the heart of our website and the events to organize our races. At the present we have the same password for all our servers and people can join even though they have not clicked Attend Event.

It would be better for us if once a member has registered for an event they would see the custom field with the password written inside. This would also force members to click Attend Event. Is this at all possible or could this be added to future releases.

Thanks for your time

Steve
Hello,

Ah, unfortunately that is not possible right now However, what you can do is to add your own set of hacks / modifications in /media/com_easysocial/apps/fields/event/

Hello Steve,

It's actually a little tedious but I have cooked up a sample which you can use.

Hi Hughes,

Sorry for the late reply.
To test this, you can put it here: /media/com_easysocial/apps/fields/group/text/text.php

If you're still want to customize, or if this a priority, please do post them on our sales section at https://crm.stackideas.com and our sales department would get back to you with a proper quote.

Please advise.

hi

Thanks for reply

I couldnt see where to put it here - /media/com_easysocial/apps/fields/group/text/text.php unless i have to make a new folder.

I did however put it here over the existing file - media/com_easysocial/apps/fields/event/text but it causes an internal server error.

How difficult would it be to create a new field? I'd be willing to pay and i'm sure other users would find use for it.
