Hi,

When editing a recurring event (PAGE EVENT in this case) and applying this to all existing events, the save process does not apply the correct timestamp to the event title; it repeats the initial date to all events.

I had suggested in an earlier post (a while back) that we allow the page administrator some parameter options for this as well. It would be nice to allow page admins to perhaps change this value somehow.

The important thing here is that we get the bug part here resolved of course

Thanks
Danny
Hi Danny,

Correct me if I misunderstood you here, do you mean once you edit the parent event by change some date event, the event title do not updated correctly as shown https://take.ms/h7tmn right?
If yes, I have logged this into our issue tracker

Sorry, I do not get you here, do you mean you would prefer that admin can change the event title? If yes, you actually can change the individual events https://take.ms/OfDQ6

Hi
Yes, this is exactly what I am referring to. I am looking forward to the fix for this.
My other point was just suggesting that we allow page admins more flexibility in the way that date format is generated. Currently, the recurring events generator appends the date in one format, it would be great if we could have a string modifier which we could define that variable
EVENT TITLE "YYYY-MM-DD"
EVENT TITLE ""
EVENT TITLE "Feb 4th, 2020"

I see, thanks for further explanation on this. That is indeed a great feature
Perhaps, you can submit this into feature request category, so that our developer can keep track the feature that can be implemented in the future update

Thanks for your cooperation and understanding, Danny

In the meantime, can you point me to which table I can go into to manually override theses appended values? They are wrong now ad misleading to users.
Thanks
Danny

Mike

Are you referring this issue https://monosnap.com/file/PQLmlee2KcIvro1iChqKLrN2buE3K0 ?

If yes, this issue should be fixed in current Easysocial version.

If the issue still persists, perhaps you can start a new thread on our forum so we can investigate this on your site.

Just for your information, I have locked and marked this thread as resolved to avoid confusions in the future. Please start a new thread if you have any other issue in the future so it will be easier for us to manage your inquiries.

Thanks for understanding.
