Hello,

First of all thank you for a wonderful extension for Joomla community. Easysocial is vital part of my website now, and our users like it very much.

However, there are few requests or suggestions I would like to make. The easysocial Article plugin is great, and it serves the purpose and functionality that joomla core lacks - author information with integration to easysocial. However, this plugin is most neglected one so far, and hasn't been improved or paid attention to. Since, my website highly rely on the news and content, it only makes sense to have extended author information at the end of the article. There are few requests:

1) Article count: There should be a block to indicate the number of articles the author has written, just beside the points, friends and followers block. It will be highly beneficial for blog/website.
2)About me: There should be a breif introduction block of the author, it might not always be relevant since there is a fully function indivisual profile page, but it is still considerable.
3)Author Social accounts: There should be at least facebook, and twitter accounts linked right into the author info block at the end of the article. It is highly useful to let our readers connect to the author.
4)Better stream post: right now, when someone posts an article, the automated stream post shows us, which can be limited to articles creation, update or publish state, which is a great thing, but if you have an image after the read more tag, if simply ignores the image and posts a title and simply 'intro text', which kind of looks odd.
5)Paginated article listing: In user's profile, there should be a paginated article listing posted by the user, not just the limited number of article that you set at the backend. I am aware that I can set it to 9999999 at the backend and have all the articles shown in article tab in the profile, but it doesn't have a pagination. Also, just like stream post, it lacks images too. Why not use intro image for thumbnail?

That's all. Hopefully, easysocial team will hear this humble request and implement these changes soon. I haven't requested anything since I bought the license. This is my first time and hopefully the last, since easysocial is a complete package in itself.
Hi there,

Thank you for your kind suggestion. I will forward this to our developers and see if they can improve the plugin in the future release of easysocial.

I'm totally with you on this. I've had this idea saved up for over a year in my list of suggestions for ES file. Been too busy working on best practices for ES.

As for article images, currently it uses the first article image as seen here: http://peakbeta.com/profile/joshlewis/57-pages
Ideally it should use the Joomla intro image and if one does not exist, it should continue to use the current method for that article (grabbing the first article image).

Hi there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as I've missed out this thread earlier.

You can always check on the roadmap of easysocial but it will be more likely to be available on easysocial 2.0 onwards.
