Hi Loic,

Regarding your issue, I've added a fixed at your site and also changed the translation back to your language. Please see http://screen.stackideas.com/2014-10-28_1657.png I've tested at your site again and now your search page and advanced search page is working correctly. Below is the file I've modified.

JOOMLA/administrator/components/com_easysocial/includes/router/adapters/search.php

Please verify again
The fix will be added into next release of EasySocial as well

Hope this help and have a nice day!

Hi Loic,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Regarding your issue with the advanced search not being redirect correctly, it seems like when you using menu item which is a alias type, the view that parse into EasySocial router is not translated correctly To fix your issue, I've edit your language file the string COM_EASYSOCIAL_ROUTER_SEARCH back to 'search'. Now The advanced search page is working fine

Please verify again.

Hello Cristiano,

Advanced search for easysocial is very confusing,

Do you mind share with us how or what is confusing in EasySocial Advanced Search? Maybe you can create a new thread and lets us know how we can improve the advanced search in EasySocial?

Please advise.

PS: Thanks for sharing the links to the 3rd party search plugin

Hello sam,
thanks for the fix.

1/ I'll keep the language file for next update of the component or will it be included in next release ?

2/ Doesn't it make more sense to have the advance search link (or directly the form) in the user list now because this concern only users and not content ?!!?
Combine with filters, it could be an awesome advance member list

Some issues in advance search :

3/ after a search when i click to the user name and go to his profil page i have this line in top content :
ends' , $friends ); $theme->set( 'total' , $total ); $theme->set( 'user' , $user ); return $theme->output( 'themes:/apps/user/friends/widgets/profile/mutual' ); } }
step 1 : http://awesomescreenshot.com/0812s1jw36
step 2 : http://awesomescreenshot.com/0692s1jc9d

4/ Users that have multicheck box custom field including more than one value do not appear in search result :
exemple : pierre is the only one user founded with this search : "lieux habituels" as "auvergne"
http://awesomescreenshot.com/0a42s1kd3f
even if there is others users that have also "lieux habituels" as "auvergne"
http://awesomescreenshot.com/0eb2s1m12e

Hi Loic,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

The language string is already in the current version. What I've changed is the translation in your fr-FR language

2/ Doesn't it make more sense to have the advance search link (or directly the form) in the user list now because this concern only users and not content ?!!? Combine with filters, it could be an awesome advance member list

Thanks for your suggestion. I will see if we can add the advanced search link into user listing page or not into next release of EasySocial

3/ after a search when i click to the user name and go to his profil page i have this line in top content :

Em, look like one of the file was corrupted. I've fixed the issue by copy the file again and now you no longer see the extra text

4/ Users that have multicheck box custom field including more than one value do not appear in search result :

Fixed at your site Now the returned results are correct when you search on a fields that allow multi options Please verify again.

Hope this help and have a nice day!

hello sam,
thanks for your help

1/ so i have to keep the fr-FR in case of update or maybe the translator will correct the file ??

3/ thanks
it was due to the fix you've done ?
http://stackideas.com/forums/error-in-your-sql-syntax-with-easysocial-blog-biography-field#reply-143513

4/ that is working if only one criteria is used
If 2 criteria it is not working ; see :
http://awesomescreenshot.com/0a72s5aq11
example of user that match those criteria : http://awesomescreenshot.com/0912s5ay55

Yes, I advise you to keep a copy of this fr-FR translation files incase you need the fix back in future

3/ thanks
it was due to the fix you've done ?
http://stackideas.com/forums/error-in-your-sql-syntax-with-easysocial-blog-biography-field#reply-143513

The issue was caused by the file content got corrupted. I don't think is was caused by the fix i provided in the other thread.

4/ that is working if only one criteria is used
If 2 criteria it is not working ; see :

Issue fixed internally. The fix will be added into next release of EasySocial

Hope this help and have a nice day

Hello,

After upgrading to last 1.3.6, i encounter the same issue "advanced search not being redirect correctly"

So i apply what you said me few month ago :
Regarding your issue with the advanced search not being redirect correctly, it seems like when you using menu item which is a alias type, the view that parse into EasySocial router is not translated correctly To fix your issue, I've edit your language file the string COM_EASYSOCIAL_ROUTER_SEARCH back to 'search'. Now The advanced search page is working fine

+
I also need to change the string COM_EASYSOCIAL_ROUTER_SEARCH_LAYOUT_ADVANCED to "avance"

With that 2 changes in the language file : fr-FR.com_easysocial.ini it's working correctly
and i wanted to share that with the community

I wonder if something can be done by translator or a mod in easysocial file to avoid this on future language file updates ???

Loïc

Thanks for you great work on easysocial 1.3

Hi Loic,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Em that strange. I actually cannot replicate the issue from my local. In my Joomla, I installed French language pack and set this French language as my default language. When I login to EasySocial frontend, I do able to access to advanced search and the sef link was translated correctly in French. Please see http://screencast.com/t/W81vTi2ajPZ

Also, when i attempt to check this issue on your site, when I logged to your site frontend, I get this message 'Le template nécessaire à cet affichage est indisponible. Veuillez contacter un administrateur du site' and it seems like no Joomla template assigned in your Joomla. Please see http://screencast.com/t/ZR277oLbT

Also, I do not see any toolbar for EasySocial. May i know how can i access to your advanced search page?
Please advise.

Hi Loic,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Regarding your issue with the 'search' language string, if i recall correctly, the reason I changed the string back to 'search' was because of the conflict with the menu alias you created last time. Anyway, in the latest version of EasySocial, we've changed the way the EasySocial router work and I already revert the 'search' back to 'recherche' and now the search or advanced search is working correctly. Please see:

http://screencast.com/t/FSxN8A8hUs
http://screencast.com/t/sjeZOhUdazgM
http://screencast.com/t/3JgA2smaSx3

Can you give it a try again?

Hope this help and have a nice day
