EasyDiscuss "Finder" plugin breaks site

Hi guys.
Just a heads up.
Building a new site, and wanted to use the ED "finder" plugin, but it breaks the site. If enabled, when posting, you get the "white screen of death". Turning on debugging, you get:

I am running on Joomla 3.3.4 so whether that has something to do with it I don't know.
Thought I would let you know.

Hello Dave,

Can you try downloading the attached file and upload it into /plugins/finder/easydiscuss/ and see if the problem still persists?

Perfect, thank you Mark. Obviously something broke in the latest Joomla release. But working perfectly with that fix.

I have a similar problem - noticed it whenever I try to upload an image anywhere or create a folder in the media manager I get the following error: [27-Apr-2015 22:51:51 UTC] PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '&&' (T_BOOLEAN_AND) in /home/SITENAME/public_html/plugins/finder/easydiscuss/easydiscuss.php on line 83

I uploaded your file and now I can upload an image, but when I try to display the image I get an error and the image doesn't display - so the fix partially worked. Still need help, please.

nevermind - it worked. While trying to find the problem I switched perms and forgot - when I changed them back it worked with the new upload. Thanks,
