I am using both easydiscuss and easysocial and have installed the discuss app for easysocial to integrate the two. when viewing the app in easysocial it shows the discussion activity along with recent participation and favorites. is it possible to get the users subscriptions added as well? this would make it much easy for the user to be able to see and manage all the easydiscuss items on the easysocial integration.
Hello Brian,

We do have subscription management from Easydiscuss App. You can see them in your dashboard when you click this: http://screencast.com/t/RUNcB8LFpv1J . Here is the example of the view: http://screencast.com/t/SAxvZE7GVvdU

ok it looks like 2 different views on the discuss app. if i go to "my profile" page and click on the discussions under apps it is a different view. however if you click on discussions under applications when looking at the community dashboard for all activity it shows the subscriptions. this is quite confusing. why is there two different views? is there anyway to combine the two views?

Hello Brian,

Yes, there are two different views for discuss app. The dashboard view is meant for you to manage anything about the app. Meanwhile the Profile view, it is for other user who is viewing your profile and want to see the details about your easydiscuss activity.

Hello Brian,

It is possible with a simple hack. I'm not suppose to provide customization but I will do this for you. Please replace the attached file in: ../media/com_easysocial/apps/user/discuss/themes/default/profile/default.php. The you need to replace the app ID in line 58: 159:discuss. Change the 159 to your discuss app id. You can refer at Backend>Easysocial>Applications. Hope this helps.
