Hi there,

I upgraded EasyBlog in Joomla 3.4.3 from ver.3.9.x to 5.0.19, I was using uograde guide:
http://stackideas.com/docs/easyblog/administrators/upgrades/upgrade-easyblog-3-9-to-easyblog-5 - upgrade was successfull. I set up EasyBlog in Main Menu.

But now I see error 1064 with information:
Oh, dear, we have a 1064
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ') AND `type`='group'' at line 1 SQL=SELECT * FROM `jos_easyblog_acl_group` WHERE `content_id` IN () AND `type`='group'

Could you advice, guide me - what I should change?

Regards,
Andy

PS: J3.4.3, PHP5.5.14, MySQL: 5.6.16 , Apache.
Hey Andy,

Okay, this was a really tough nut to crack! It seems like the problem is because your user "-edited-" is not associated with any user group in Joomla and this causes these errors

I have assigned the user to the "Registered" group and it works fine now.

Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

Hey Mark,

Thank you very much, current version of EasyBlog looks & does work amazing. Thank you for your quick help. Could you delete from your above post real user name?

It means, that every user with post has to be associated with some group inside Joomla. I write it again for the future, fr other #EasyBlogers:-)

Regards,
Andy

Hey Mark,

Just thought I would say that I received the 1064 error and followed your troubleshooting steps and found a user with out any group permissions and added them to a group.

Steps I took:

1. Log into your Joomla back-end

2. Go to Users menu option and manage

3. Click on the users on your site and check their Assigned User Groups

4. Make sure they are assigned to either registered or super user depending on their permissions.

5. Save and close.

I hope this helps someone. Thanks Mark for all your hard work.

Cheers!

Regards,
Rob
