This isn't the first upgrade where I've had this problem. Often I run an upgrade and it gets stuck during the "Post Installation Cleanup" and EasyBlog is unusable until I restore a backup.

What exactly is happening during the Post Installation Cleanup that could stick like this? Also, as I have a complex server configuration, is there a manual way to force the upgrade. Ideally, I would just like to extract files on top of the older files (replacing where necessary) and run some SQL update script (if there were some database modifications). Is there a way to get a package and instructions for a manual update as your script seems to have gotten stuck on multiple occasions?

Thanks.
hey Haim,

I've checked in your this table `#_easyblog_acl_group`, it seems like that was huge records and exactly same as this issue as I investigated on this thread. Can you try take a look of this and follow the instruction and see how it goes?

Yes - I had 1179954 records.

Truncating the table was the fix.

Why does this table get so large?
