I have tried several layouts, but none are functioning properly.

At the moment, I would be happy with a Magazine or grid layout.

For reference: page is website.com/success-story - access (super-user) as I am testing before public.

Seems to work somewhat after many times saving and changing, but then url looks like;
website.com/success-story/magazine

Or if changing to a grid layout the url is:
website.com/success-story/grid

I don't believe its an issue with the sh404 plugin.
Yet in all other sites, I have used EasyBlog in the past, I have never seen the url change to the layout menu item type..

Going to put this on hold till I hear back from you all..
Thanks a million.
I am not sure what kind of layout issue are you referring to, can you elaborate more details regarding this?

Regarding your URL issue, do you mean that if you create a magazine menu item then the page URL should display http://website.com/success-story instead of appending the magazine type e.g. http://website.com/success-story/magazine ?

Am I right? If yes, it seems like it is a bug, I will log into the issue tracker because our Sh404sef plugin doesn't handle grid and magazine SEF URL.

Yes, you’re correct..
didn’t know if that was coming for sh404, but yes when creating magazine or grid the url acts weird.

In the meantime, any workarounds?

For now, you can configure Easyblog to use Joomla router from Sh404sef configuration by component setting, you can check my attached screenshot below.
