Hey Mark,

Hm, this is odd. I can't seem to locate any database tables for EasyBlog on your first site. Is this a new site or is this an upgrade from an existing version?

By the way, the FTP access isn't working

Hey Mark,

Hm, it seems like those SQL queries in the setup is not being executed for some reasons. Do you think that it is possible for you to provide me with the phpmyadmin / cpanel access to the site? This is actually causing the installation to fail because the SQL queries aren't getting executed at all

For sure you can get to the phpmyadmin via cpanel access by using the ftp username and password. Just go to login.html for each domain.

Hey Mark,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

After investigated long time ago, it seems like you Joomla user do not have correct create table access privilege to your database, so the installation stuck at 45% ( http://screencast.com/t/VbgRNSrks5i ), can you double check with your phpmyadmin user privilege configuration is it set correctly?

Second, I have manually create all the Easyblog table in your database through phpymadmin access ( http://edmontoncarrental.ca/ <- this site ). But I noticed now you hitting this error when access Easyblog page :

Fatal error: Class 'JControllerLegacy' not found in /hsphere/local/home/edmoncar/edmontoncarrental.ca/administrator/components/com_easyblog/easyblog.php on line 71

The reason why you hitting this is because your current Joomla 2.5 version is not updated, you should update at least 2.5.6 above. You can read more info in this thread -> http://www.seblod.com/v2/forum/105-General-Discussions/41172-Fatal-error-Class-JControllerLegacy-not-found.html

But In my suggestion, you should update to 2.5.28 version, because this is the most latest in Joomla 2.5 and Joomla will not release another new version in 2.5version in the future.

Can you update your current 2 site Joomla version to 2.5.28 from 2.5.2?

Once you updated Joomla version and grant correct with your db user privilege, I will double check again and help you install Easyblog 5 in your another site as well.

keep us updated the process.

Hi Arlex,

I have upgraded both sites to Joomla 2.5.28 now, but my db user privileges are already set to dba access, so they have full access permissions already. They were the user accounts that were used when we originally installed Joomla. But I I did double check to be sure.

Hey Mark,

I am sorry that delay of this reply, I have help you installed latest version of Easyblog 5 in your both site. Please have a check.
http://edmontoncarrental.ca/
http://princegeorgecarrental.ca/

By the way, I would like to suggest you request with your webhosting provider to help you increase with your 2 site php memory limit to 128M , because I noticed your current site only set to 64M and it might not enough memory to handle with your thousand blog post in the future.

Hi Arlex,

The edmontoncarrental.ca site seems to be fine, but now the princegeorgecarrental.ca doesn't want to display at all. I get a 403 - You are not authorized to view this resource error.

hey Mark,

It seems like you set your homepage display K2 - categories and it show this warning message for some reason.

By the way, I have temporary help you change to "show all the Joomla categories" on your home menu item.

If you would like to check Easyblog frontpage, you can access this link -> http://princegeorgecarrental.ca/index.php/easyblog.html

Hope this helps.

Arlex,

Is there something you may have done to the site that is causing none of the pages to work now. I have made no changes to the homepage. The site was working perfectly prior to installing easyblog. The only page that is working now is the blog page, but the rest of the pages are throwing an error.

I think I see the problem, all of the k2 items are gone, plus the K2 component seems to be broken as well. The install of Easyblog must have caused this problem as it was fine prior to this.

Hey Mark,

I am sorry that delay of this reply,

I believe that was not install Easyblog causing this issue, because I checked in your database all of your K2 table, it seems like all the data is still there, perhaps you can try consult with K2 developer regarding this or try install k2 again in your site and see how it goes?
