Hi Guys,

sorry for posting again but i need to know if i am to shut my website down? my website is now using EB5 but this doesn't work at all, the URL's just return blank pages, even if i use the easy blog toolbar.

i know your support stops in 20 mins and i'll be left without a website for a minimum of 24 hours.

please advise as i would assume you wouldn't release an update that completely broke easy blog.

i see quite alot of other customers are having the same problem.
Hey Wayne,

I just tried accessing your site and it seems to be working fine for me here on my end. Am I missing anything here? Perhaps I am accessing the wrong url?

Hi Mark

EB5 caused so many errors with my website i had no choice but to restore a back up from last night.

i don't understand how EB5 is working so poorly with my site. i would like to use it but its not possible in it's current state.

Please advise as this website is very important to me and i'd prefer to use your products but naturally will go elsewhere if it doesn't work

Hey Wayne,

May i know what error are you hitting so that we can assist you on this quickly?

Perhaps you can backup your current site then we will perform an upgrade in your Easyblog 3.9 to 5.x and see what is the error show out?

part of it is explained here: http://stackideas.com/forums/easyblog-5-will-not-install

at first i just would not install, once it had no URL's would work and i kept getting a php error.

the site is backed up now if you want to try, i'm not sure i can install EB5

Did you try my colleague provided that fix from this post before you revert back to 3.9? -> http://stackideas.com/forums/easyblog-5-will-not-install#reply-211919

By the way, can you provide us with your FTP access as well?

yes he did, he partly fixed it (the url's did work but the php errors displayed everywhere) so i used his helper php file and that just killed the website, its then i restored the website back to EB3.9

i've provided both admin and ftp details, ideally i'd like a fully working version on EB5 if thats possible

thanks

Hi Arlex

i see you've updated to EB5, it now displays this all over the site:

Notice: Undefined variable: default_width in D:\inetpub\wwwroot\XXXXXXXXXXXX.com\templates\equinox\utils\bss_fontchanger.php on line 12

Hey Wayne,

I'm still investigate on this because something weird about it can't get the category title for some reason,

I have temporary disable Easyblog component from backend > extension manager > manage , so that error message will not appear now.

By the way, I will get back to you when I reach office later 11am because now already 3am here.

Hey Wayne,

I have enabled back Easyblog 5 component from your backend, it seems like everything is work fine now.

Can you give it a try? May i know did you fix anything in your site last night?

Now i can't view the blogs or create a menu item because of this in the URL: &view=latest
*** i just get a blank page ***

/index.php?option=com_easyblog&view=latest

if i remove this from the URL so it's only: /index.php?option=com_easyblog then it works

i've tried creating new menu link but it's the same,

By the way, may i know how to replicate this issue in your site?
