Hi

had a bit of an issue earlier on which could just be me....or could be the easyblog.

I'd been writing a blog post, but had left it and my session had timed out. I'm reasonably savvy but couldn't find a way to get to my draft post...I had been saving it every so often as i went along.

problems...

If I have timed out, apart from the error at the top (which is a bit hard for non-computer people to understand) what should I do? Could this error be made a bit more user friendly???

I searched for where to go to retrieve my post and tried my dashboard link as I couldn't see where else to go....but that just returned a blank page Is there a page which shows my own posts (published and draft) where i could have selected this?

I eventually had to go to the backend and select my draft post from there....fine for me but not good for ordinary users.

I'm not sure if i've picked up a bug or issue. probably just me and a setting that's not quite right!

thanks
paul
Hi Paul,

I've fixed this for you by renaming helper.php file inside your /components/com_easyblog/helpers/ folder. Please have a look.

Hey Paul,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. There is actually a settings in EasyBlog that will prevent you from being logged out by Joomla by making ping requests via AJAX calls.

You just need to enable the option "Enable Keep Alive Session" under Settings > General > Composer . Having said that, what is the error message that you are getting by the way?

Hi Mark,

That setting is enabled and set at 90secs...did you change that or was it already set??

The error that appeared on the top of the composer bar when trying to save draft was something like ' >no token '

Still not sure where I can access draft posts from the frontend though....the only place I can see they might be is in Edit Profile....but that page doesn't load from the extra settings on the EB toolbar

Hey Paul,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Perhaps you could try setting it to 15 seconds instead?

By the way, in EasyBlog 5 drafts was renamed to revisions but it seems to cause quite some confusions and in 5.1, we'll bring back drafts instead.

Hi Mark.

Yeah, that would be good I think!

Where would you go to find drafts though. As I said, I though maybe edit profile (which doesn't seem to be working at all on my site) or is it All Posts?

If it's All Posts, I'm assuming that draft posts can only be seen by the author in that list??

Many thanks

Hello Paul,

You can see your draft posts in your dashboard here: http://screencast.com/t/7Y1gB4TRZeAz by clicking on this: http://screencast.com/t/hrUcj6ikrM . Hope this helps.

That's great. Thanks

Lastly...have you any idea why the edit profile link under my settings isn't working?

Thanks for all your help

Many thanks Ezrul

Was this just me (and it will overwrite in the next update) or was it a bug that will be corrected in the next update?

Hey Paul,

This will be fixed for good because EasyBlog 5 no longer uses the file /components/com_easyblog/helpers/helper.php
