I'm trying to simplify blog-posting for a non-techie. They know Markdown, so I've enabled it for articles. Is it possible to use Markdown with EasyBlog? If so, how? If not, is there a plug-in or something that will make it work? Thanks in advance for the help.
Which plugin for markup was/is used in this case?

And in combination with which joomla editor? jce? jck? tinymce?

Does the plugin work with joomla 3.x?

Hello Joachim,

This post was actually made 2 years ago, I am not really sure what you mean here. Do you mean you want to use markdown editor for your blog? EasyBlog allows you to configure it to work with any editor that is installed on the site. You can configure this in the back end settings of EasyBlog under Settings > Layout > Dashboard

Hey Mark,
yes, I found markdown a few days ago and want to use it now for general article and text handling on my website.
Currently there are no editors, which offer a "good" markdown functionality.
I am using easyblog and yootheme zoo as cmk with plugins/addons for jce.
And I did not find an editor that covers my current requirements and functions and on top markdown functionality.

There is a really cool cloud editor out there, called stackedit (seems very close to stackideas ;-)))
https://stackedit.io/

I think I will use this one to prepare my texts and then copy paste into easyblog posts or my zoo articles.

Markdown is so easy to know, learn and use. Especially for poor authors of texts and articles for internetpages.

If there are any changes or if you have any recommandations regarding good markdown support in easyblog then let me know.

Maybe markdown is an good alternative for stackideas to make editing texts much easier, e.g. sending plain-text to easyblog via email and easyblog converts it to html page. maybe with an defined header in the plain-text, where it can be defined to be published in.
Or another way would be a dropbox pickoff variant. Or pickoff from Evernote.

hope to hear from you great news in the future about markdown support to make content editing much easier as it is today.

thanx in advance
Joachim

Hello Joachim,

Thanks for writing in. Good point. Unfortunately, for now, we don't have plan on building a markdown editor for Easyblog. However, you can add this in our Voices page: http://www.stackideas.com/voices/easyblog and our developers will get back to you. By the way, we are currently developing a much easier and user-friendly editor for Easyblog 5.
