I've tried to find this information in the documentation and have been unable. I noticed on the EasyBlog Demo, there is a Slider at the top. How is this accomplished? I understand there is a Module called EasyBlog Showcase (assuming that is it) but what module position to I publish it to so it appears below the toolbar, like in the demo: http://demo.stackideas.com/

Also, is there a pre-built position for the sidebar, or does this have to be a module position in the Joomla template?

Thanks for any information and/or documentation you can provide.

Charles

Hey bitstormweb,

It seems like you are referring that showcase is not a module actually, you can set your blog post as feature post, then it will auto generate this feature post in the blog frontpage.

By the way, we do have Easyblog showcase module, to find your Easyblog page module position, first you have to enable module preview settings from your backend > Extension > template manager > option > preview module position - YES

After that go to your Easyblog page, insert ?tp=1 on your URL behind e.g. http://domain.com/yourblogmenu?tp=1
So it will show out all the module position, then you can copy the position name and assign in your showcase module.

Hope this helps.

Arlex, Thank you for the information! I had no idea the "feature post" would automatically turn on that type of functionality. Neat!
I noticed my "Featured" rotator does not list any article text and also shows an image... is there a particular place to set the image and control the length of text displayed in the feature?

Arlex, thanks for the image with positions... I'm assuming though for the sidebar to function, you would have to actually have "position-7" in your template for that to show up since it's outside the component output.

Hey Charles,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. I need the access to the back end of your site to check on the featured listing area. It should actually display a snippet of your post's text. As for the image in the featured scroller, they are actually post covers and you can assign a post cover when you compose your blog post. The featured slider would use it

As for the sidebar, it really depends on your Joomla template. If you are using the protostar template, it's called "position-7". If you are using a different Joomla template, it might get called a different name altogether

Do you just need access to the Joomla CMS? How would you like me to send you the information?
