Hello Jean Marie,

Updating from 4.x to 5.x requires you to download and install it via Joomla Extensions Manager as there are too many changes in between major releases.

The main reason is because the single click updater could time out and this is why we require you to download the installer

Hello Jean-Marie,

In EasyDiscuss 5, the default standard view is the recent listings, therefore you will not see the "Recent" menu item in the toolbar.

Sorry but I don't quite get you here. Would you mind elaborating more on this please? You can create a menu item that points to the frontpage layout in EasyDiscuss. That would be the list of topics in EasyDiscuss.

If you want your home page of your site to link to the recent discussions just like http://ed5.stackideas.com/ , then you need to configure your home page menu item so that it links to the default layout, https://take.ms/ZorGEX
