I have checked in you site, it seems like your issues is it resolved?
Because when i trying to create a new group under that select group categories section, 3 categories image is appeared. Check my screenshot below. Am i missing something here?

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Hm, sorry but I am a little lost here. When I tried checking your site, these group categories does have avatars as you can see here:

Am I missing anything here? By the way, the theme that you are using looks good!
