You can disable ratings from backend in Komento > Integrations, then choose which components you integrate with Komento. Under workflow section, disable this option. http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-05-13_1249.png

i'm not premium so i'm using this post to eventually have an answer on rating system.

I don't no where to enable the rating stars in Komento but can't find it anywhere. I'm using last version of it on joomla with joomla articles.

Is it a premium option? Has the feature been removed for some reason?

Yes, the rating feature only available in Pro and Unlimited version.
