It looks like the option "Use Komento Profile" is still enabled as you can see here, http://screencast.com/t/9QjtT8pM . I have disabled this for JDownloads and it works fine now. Please take note that each integration settings is per extension basis. In other words, you have different settings for different extensions

I set option "Use Komento Profile" - On again, because if it disabled all avatars have link to gravatar.com

Download the attached file and upload it into /components/com_komento/kuro/comment/item/ and overwrite the avatar.php file
