To fix this in the future, you should install this plugin plg_easydiscuss_users.zip in your site, you can download from http://stackideas.com/downloads/plugins (All EasyDiscuss Plugins).
*This plugin is responsible to delete user's related records such as question post, reply and etc.

Then go to your backend > EasyDiscuss > Setting > general > Maintenance > Owner for orphaned items - set your Super admin ID here

if you need further assistance, please provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you configure with this.

I don't want orphaned items going under my name, because it looks like I have written the topic or comment. Instead, I have a user called "Deleted Account" that I use for this purpose. However, now this account is earning ALL kinds of points and is showing up on leaderboards.

Wouldn't it be better to allow the option for deleted users to simply have all their content deleted?

Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, we have thought of that possibility but most of our users want the content visible even the user has been deleted. This is because let say the deleted user has one reply that has solved any question, the reply (or we can call it the true answer) will be deleted once the user is deleted. But the option thing sounds good. We will discuss with our developer about this.

Where are you seeing the errors? If you have already deleted the user prior to installing the plugin, you will need to delete the post or change the owner of the post
