Hi,

I just realised that gender and many other fields, created by me, informations gone away! All users gender status turned to no gender, and other specific fields' informations lost. I cant think, if this occures again, especially after a few months later with next updates. Is there anybody with the same problem here?
See this topic: http://stackideas.com/forums/profile-activity-completely-cleared-out

Luckily for me I did these tests on the test site, which means my main site is okay for now. However if I had an active community, this would be bad.

Hi,

Regarding the gender and fields data loss, I've checked your site and seems like the gender data are still there.

Which user's data is loss and what other data are loss?

Hi Jason,

All user gender and other field data records gone, i change back manually for 2-3 users, Maybe you saw them. Just fields[b] still on back-end. Actually that is not important for now. But we need to find its reason,

Like Josh said; [b]"However if I had an active community, this would be bad."

Hi,

I actually can't reproduce this issue and hence I cannot find out why there are data losses. It seems like so far only you are facing this issue. (Josh's issue was a separate issue, not data loss, it was just the activity stream didn't load up properly).

Hi,

That will only affect fields like Checkbox/Dropdown/etc, that script doesn't affect Gender field.

gökhan, please create a test site. Copy your site files and the database and have it connected separately via the configuration.php file in Joomla's root directory. This helps a lot with testing out issues like these. Finding exactly how the scenario happens very much helps your chances of getting it resolved. Assuming you make a test site, upgrade it to the latest version of EasySocial. Then give the stacked team access to your test site.

@ Josh, thank for your idea, i have 2 test sites already, but there are some differencies (configurations etc) then my main site. And i used them for testing several times before. Within a few day, my main site will be ready (Beta). After that i will copy it for 2 test sites. And I will do this again after per important changes.
