Hi,

I have moved to a new server and now my cronjob for Feed Importer has stopped working. I have tried following your info for cPanel on this, without luck.

Kindly,
Kaliya
Hello,

I just ran through the cron feed's URL at http://www.silvergoldadvisor.com/index.php?option=com_easyblog&task=cronfeed and it doesn't seem like there's anything new to be retrieved.

Hi Mark,

Good to have your help again

I experience the same as you, but when I Update the individual Import Feeds, articles are fetched - otherwise no articles get fetched at all...

Kindly,
Kaliya

Hello Kaliya,

Can you please try not to manually execute the feeds but instead access http://www.silvergoldadvisor.com/index.php?option=com_easyblog&task=cronfeed constantly and see if they are being fetched?

If it does, then it means that the cronjob isn't working.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your kind advice. I have tried many times now and still there's no feed import (normally 3-5 items /day). What do you think could be wrong with the cronjob?

Kindly,
Kaliya

Hi Arlex,

Thanks very much for all your help with this

I went to look at EB on my site and find that it is still not upsating the feed import. I tried executing the cronjob URL above, but still no update. I then executed the individual feed imports in joomla backend, and it was finally updated.

What could be wrong?

Kindly,
Kaliya

Hello Kaliyadamana das,

Sorry for late reply to this,
I have checked in your all the feeds setting, it seems like you set the Feed Amount - 0, can you try set some value at that field example : 2
Because I have tried to add the new feeds in your importer (nikie), and i set cronjob interval every 1 minute process for my testing and see the cron command is it set correctly. (After my testing, i help you set to 15 minute)

Then this is what my result, check my screenshot below. (I have temporary unpublished my test post)
* Make sure that your feeds is it got new post or not

Hi Arlex,

Thanks for all you testing : )

I have now changed all the feeds from 0 to 3 items.

I see that my host is not allowing cronjobs to run more than every 30 mins. - otherwise the job will be rejected (see cPanel/cronjob page). So, maybe your test will not give the desired result?

I have set all my own feeds to import between 30 - 50 mins.

Kindly,
Carsten

Hello Kaliyadamana das,

You're welcome Actually what my testing is make sure that cronjob is it running smoothly
Yes, you should set back which cron interval time is comfortable for your cronjob. Actually you can try publish a new article from your feed and see after 1 day or 2 day and see is it the new article will auto import in your Easyblog.

Keep us updated then.

Hi Arlex,

There's still no feeds being imported. I tried disabling Cloudflare and emptying all caches.

I'm not sure I understand you saying: "Actually you can try publish a new article from your feed and see after 1 day or 2 day and see is it the new article will auto import in your Easyblog."

All my feeds are coming from other websites and none of them are showing up in the Blog Entries list as unpublished - please advise what to do.

Kindly,
Carsten

Hello Kaliyadamana das,

I'm really sorry that make you confusing, after i debugging long time ago, i noticed that when i tried to execute the feeds then i hitting this ;
0 Error validating access token: You cannot access the app till you log in to http://www.facebook.com and follow the instructions given.

Based on the error message, it look like your Facebook password already changed, can you try go to your Facebook > setting > apps > delete the Facebook apps which configure with your autopost feature
then go to yourbackend > Easyblog > Autopost > Facebook > Click revoke access > and click Sign in with facebook
And see how it goes.

Hi Arlex,

Sorry for my late reply. I deleted the FB app and clicked revoke, but then the Renew link disappeared and was replaced by a login FB button. When clicking the FB button a pop-up appeared saying:

"App Not Setup: The developers of this app have not set up this app properly for Facebook Login."

I disabled the FB Autopost and tried executing the Feed Imports 1 by 1 and the now work without hanging and showing the latest updates I hope that the cronjob will now work then.

So, I don't know what to do now about the FB Autopost?

I have added my FB login below, if would take a look?

Kindly,
Carsten

Hello Carsten,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. I have setup the Facebook auto posting for your site, can you see if this works correctly now? I tested on the normal posts and it does auto post correctly.
