Hello,
I set up a cron job for sending email notifications for Easyblog. The mails are not being sent however. My client had to send them the next day manuallly. I cannot find what's wrong.

When I visit the address of the cron directly through my browser, the browsers asks me if I want to save index.php (see screendump)

I don't know if I did anything wrong. I really hope you can help!

Best
Ineke
Hi Ineke,
I checked your backend and realized your mail sender address are not the same in EasyBlog notification settings when compared to Joomla's Global Configuration>Mail Settings page. I have helped you changed the sender mail address in EasyBlog notification to match the one in Joomla. Can you test again and see if you are able to send the notification emails?
Let us know how it goes, thanks.

Hello Raymond,
Thank you for your quick reply. I wasn't aware those two had to be the same?
I' changed them to the other adress though
I need to think of a clever way to test this, as I don't want to send mails to all the subscribers when there is nothing to say.
Thank you so far, I'll let you know if the problem is solved.
best regards,
Ineke

Hi Raymond,
I set up a test-site, tested it and it seems to work fine now. So thank you, I wouldn't have thought of checking the different mail sender adresses.
May I suggest for you to add an instruction about this in the easyblog settings panel? Because the fact that one can insert an e-mail address for easyblog implies that it can be different from the general address.
For now it's a matter of waiting until the end of the month, when a new blog will be published on the live website.
Best regards and thank you again for your quick replies,
Ineke
