I would like the Published Date to show on the blog instead of the Created Date. How do I change that setting? I looked all through all the settings and can't find where I can change it.

I would like to put all the blogs into the system on Monday but have them published on different days of the week. And I don't want people to know that they were created on Monday. I want it to look like they were created on the day they were published.

Can you help??

Thank you,
Hello Lauren,

You can actually configure this in the theme settings. If you are using the default theme, go to the back end of EasyBlog > Themes . Then, click on the default theme.

I looked under the theme we are using because that is the one that was customized to look like our website. I looked at the Default template too. Both don't give me an option "Show the Published Date." It only gives me the option to choose yes or no to "Show the Created Date."

Maybe it's a suggestion to allow the user to show the published date instead of the created date. I am posting the 3 blogs for the week on Monday and have them set to publish on the following days.

I think the short term fix is to now go back to the old blogs and change the created date.

Thank you,

Hello Lauren,

There should be a posted date source as you can see here, http://screen.stackideas.com/2014-10-24_0214.png . Not sure why it's not appearing for you but perhaps it's because of your customized theme?

It only gives me the option for Created Date and Last Modified Date. I checked both the Default template and the custom template for our site.

I see what your screen shot shows but your screen shot doesn't show the drop down menu of options. Are you saying there should be an option to show the Published Date?

Thank you,

Hello Lauren,

Ah, sorry I misunderstood your question earlier I thought you wanted to display the last modified date.

Hello Lauren,

Yes, it is possible. You can provide us your backend and FTP so we can apply the hack for you.

Nick,

We would also like this "hack" but I am a developer so could you please give me directions on how to change this?
